I became overwhelmed and fearful, when I was assigned a surgery date. A friend gave me a scripture which was calming to me:
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
I hope that you might find peace in it. Best Wishes!!!
I'm getting SCARED!!!! I hate being wheeling into the operating room. I had a bad exerperince once.
My doctor doesn't require the optifast. I have to be on clear liquids only the full day before (Monday) and nothing at all after midnight on Monday. I got the call today letting me know to report for surgery Tuesday morning at 5:30am...
Good Luck with your surgery. My date is also the 27th. I've been working towards this since 2009! I hope your surgery goes well and you heal quickly and lose all the weight you want to lose, Best of luck!

How did your surgeries go? I'm doing pretty good - lots of pain from the gas but other than that I'm moving around fairly well.
I'm scheduled for the 19th of February also. Day 8 of the pre-op diet (Optifast).
Much better than expected so far. Walking, no added pain meds.
Was some discussion of postponing due to some lung congestion, but had a treatment and went forward.
Looking forward to getting home and getting on with a new portion of my life.
