How's all the February Post Ops Doing?

I had my surgery 12 days after my birthday so my February will be special for two reasons now.  I'm doing fine and happy with my weight loss thus far.  It's been a lot easier than I expected.  I can't do land aerobics with bad feet and knees and I miss the exercise.  I don't have a clue where my weight loss will end up since I can't do the aerobic exercise but I am thankful for each pound I lose.   I often dream that I'm running because I use to love to run.  Hope everyone is doing great on their WL journey and meeting some of your goals.  I was especially happy when I got under 200 pounds and am on my way to the next goal of 180.

I'm doing really well.  Never in all my years did I ever think I could lose this much amount of weight.  Losing 113 lbs is beyond me.  I'm proud of myself because it's been a long and difficult road but I'm happy to say that now I've gotten an advance in my career that I would have never been eligible for with 100 extra lbs of weight on me, and I'm engaged and my wedding is September of this year and for the first time in my entire life I'm not searching for my dress in the plus size section.  This years been a good but extremely tough and I thank God, my family and all my supporters for this, I could have never been able to do it alone.

I finally got through with physical therapy (in the pool) this week (bum knee that has kept me from walking for exercise). I have been turned over to a local Wellness Center to do pool therapy on my own (well, with my husband - he just completed pool PT as well for balance - he is in a wheelchair and needs to strengthen his legs and make his transfers safer). So we will encourage each other to get there.

I am soooo close to having lost a hundred pounds that I can taste it. That will be the Century Club, after all, and half-way to goal (well, my goal of 199) I know that to be in the "normal" BMI range I will have to be 169 but I don't think I will get there . . .

You are doing great and in so few months.  I plan to join the local Y so I can use the pool.  It is about the only exercise that doesn't hurt my knees, back and feet.  I figured I'd be doing well if I could get down to a size 16 since I can't do land aerobics.  And, here I am so now I'm thinking it is very likely that I will get into an even smaller size.  I'm so happy that I got WLS.

I'm doing good also. No complications. Can pretty much eat anything.

For some reason, this week seems I don't get the full feeling eating the same amount of food as before. Starting to scare me actually.

I have way more appetite too, not necessarily a good thing either.

Overall, pretty happy with my decision to have the sleeve done. I've never been so close to onederland since i was prob a very small child so that is pretty exciting!

The only problem i have is actually mentaly, i have a hard time seeing the weight loss in myself unless i compare pictures.  When i look in the mirror, and compare myself with the amount of weight i've actually lost, i keep telling myself i've lost so much, but i still go Soooooooo much more to loose!

Your doing GREAT!  I've noticed that I don't have the "full feeling / no hunger" that I had the first 6 1/2 months.  I know what you mean about it scares you as I thought the same and was hoping I might be one that would never have hunger for life.  Thus far as long as I eat solid protein (meat) in 2 ounces or less (all my pouch wants)  that I am doing okay as it curbs the hunger.   My body was doing well to eat twice a day so I was struggling getting in another meal with yogurt or a protein drink.

Now my body wants something about every 4 hours.  (Some say they eat every 2 hrs but I've just gone with my body signals at this point.)    I have to wake my pouch up with something light in the morning so it is usually yogurt or a protein drink.  I  have solid protein for lunch and dinner.   Usually two hours after dinner I have a protein hot chocolate or yogurt to get in more protein.  I've really been enjoying the new Dannon and Yoplait  low fat and low sugar Greek yogurts.

I get very few vegetables and fruit with my main meals so when my pouch can handle more will start adding more of them.   I love sweets but have had zero desire for them and hope I've weaned myself off them these past few months.  I did that with soda over five years ago and don't miss soda at all now.   I am terrified of gaining wt back so will have to be diligent and not waste my new WL tool.
