I can't wait! I opted out to have the sleeve but I am not 100% positive about it. I am still wondering back and forth should I go for RNY? I am currently 264 would love to lose 100 lbs or more! My target weight is 150. I am excited and anxious! My hospital is Kaiser West LA. Any of you out there who had RNY or Sleeve feel like sharing the reasons why you opted to have the procedure you have? That would definately help a lot of us who are still confused about what to choose. Thank you guys!!!
I am scheduled for February 24th as well. This is my second time around fighting fear. I just finished blogging about it..I went with the February date because of needing to meet out of pockets and come up with my doctors fee.
Wow he could of given you fair warning of what he wanted. I would of given him a few choice words. I must admit I did giggle at " IF I could lose 60lbs, I wouldn't need your dang surgery". I think some Dr's don't think what is coming out of their mouths.
I see my DR in the Liver clinic in 7 days and hopefully he will give me the OK and then in 2 weeks I see Dr Mosse and pray he says he will do it even with my shotty liver.
How is everyone going with the nerves? Well it's now less than 12 weeks for all of us, counting from me being last one of us so far. Time is going by really fast.
Best wishes to all

They're telling me in our support group that usually our particular surgeon is upfront early in the process if he's going to require more weight loss, but I'm afraid of just that kind of disappointment, too!
my date is 2/8/10. But I am so mad at this point. It's taken me 9 months to get to this point. All the appointments, all the meetings and when I get to the surgeons office to make the surgery date, he tells me he wants me to loose 60lbs. REALLY, YOU COULD NOT HAVE TOLD ME THIS 9 MONTHS AGO WHEN WE STARTED! Now I have to put it off longer if I do not loose 46 more lbs by Feb. I looked at him and told him "If I could loose 60 lbs, I wouldn't need your dang surgery!". He referred me to his nurses for further assistance.
