Topic: Third times a charm???????
This is the third "got my date" post for me. First time, Doctor canceled day before my surgery due to a "mass" found on my thyroid. Turned out to be nothing, but glad she caught it. Then I was rescheduled for 20 Jan 2010, and just found out she will be out of the office until Feb. Now I'm re-scheduled for the 8th of February. Can't take too much more of this on and off again $H&#. Tired of the let downs!!!

As the day gets closer, I think I get more nervous, asking myself, can I really do this, did I wait to long in life to have it done, and most of all will I be successful? Then I settle down and say to myself what I have always said......"God did not put me on this earth to fail!!" So as each one of us has our surgery, I will pray for us all to be successful, healthy and happy!!! THIS IS OUR YEAR!!!!!

Hello! I Just got my surgery date today and it is FEB 2nd!!!! Only 4 short weeks!!! Next week I start my three week liquid diet! Not looking forward to it 5 slimfast high protien or boost glucose control a day! thats not alot and with the flavor options of chocolate or vanilla whoo hoo!! LOL I still can not wait! I would love a buddy to go through this with! I have 150-160lbs to loose I am down 14 lbs already and expect to loose more the next 4 weeks! let me know!! thanks!!!

I also have my surgery date 2/1 /2010 and Iam very nervous about it.
I am not sure what I shoud buy ahead of time as for food. I have always been overweight since I was in grade school. I am glad that I am having it done now as I am not sure how long it takes to heal up. Is it normal to be nervous ahead of time.

congrats to everyone who has a Feb date i'm sure it's been a long time coming for most of you!!! 
my date is feb 9th and i'm super excited with waves of anxiety & fear but it's nothing i can't handle. my older sister is scheduled for feb 11th & i also have a 2nd sister who's going through this as well. she's been approved, no date scheduled yet but she shouldn't be far behind us. we are all going for the RNY. i'm so excited to be going through this with my 2 best friends!!! good luck to everyone!!! may you all have a successful & uneventful surgery day!!!!

Cheers to all of us February people! I'm looking forward to the RNY so much that I'm counting down my days! I'm down to 29 days. I shopped today for the vitamins I'm going to need and over the next 4 weeks I will tidy up my desk and have my staff take care of any fires while I'm out.
I think I've read everything on this site, and it's been so valuable. I'd love to know anyone in the Raleigh, NC area who is having their surgery done in February as well. Any ideas?

Hey we have the same surgery date, 2-1-10. Just started my 4 week presurgery diet today and I must say it was rough. Hoping tomorrow will be better! I am sorry to hear about your mom. I am scared of post-op complications too, but keep telling myself I am gambling by staying obese too!:)
