Topic: RE: Where are all the February Fam?
I'm doing great! Have lost 27.5# and have broken a stall. Got my 2cd fill and now have 7.5cc in my 11cc band. A couple of stuck/sliming incidents from eating too fast or not chewing enough...it was educational to say the least!

Sorry to hear you had such a bad experience. I had mine 2 days before you. I had problems with my i.v. and one crappy nurse. Everything else went as expected. I am so excited that I have actually lost 50lbs now. The last time I did this with weigh****chers I stopped going and gained every pound back. It won't happen again. Best wishes!!!

I am here as well and have tried steak, meatloaf, fish, chili, tuna/egg/chicken salad, chicken, shrimp, and pork. The first and second weeks of soft foods I vomited almost once per day but am doing fine with absolutely everything I've tried. I see my surgeon is a few weeks and will be cleared for "regular" diet I suspect. I do 2 protein shakes a day and then my food gets me at least 80 gms per day. I'm only doing 56+ fluids per day just because it is sooo hard at work (I am an ER nurse).

I'm new to the site...had my surgery on 2/17/10 and as of my six week checkup I had lost 31 lbs. I have had a life long fight with my weight and finally decided when I reached 263 that it was time to do something! I chose the doctors that had already done this procedure on four of my family members and they all did great. The only time I regretted it was the first night in the hospital...bad, bad night. But since then with the weight loss, no regrets.
Good luck to everyone on their "journey"!!!

Topic: RE: Anyone else really sick?
Hi Candice,
Yes, I had my endoscopy last Friday and they stretched out my intestinal opening. My scar tissue has closed my opening to the width of a chop stick! No wonder I can't keep anything down! I have to have it stretched 2-4 more times to get it to where it needs to be, so it's back to the hospital every 7-10 days until I'm back to normal. Luckily, they're knocking me out so I don't have to be conscious for the procedures!
Hope yours went well!!

Amara - Did you have your upper GI? I am experiencing the same thing. I had an upper GI on Friday and will get the results this morning.
Hope all is well.

Topic: RE: VITIMANS
What kind of hard ones are you taking? I get my vitamins from bariatriceating and sometimes I chew them and sometimes I suck on them for a while till they get softer.
