Hey congrats on your surgery date!! I think that the 9th is going to be awesome!! I am really not on a pre-op diet. I have a clear liquid diet the day before surgery and was told to increase my protein intake in the meantime. I was just told to not gain weight or my surgery may be cancelled.
That is so awesome that you have lost 4 lbs already. That is alot in a week to lose. I should start some kind of "diet" so that I can make sure I dont gain anything. Good luck and talk to you soon.

Wow - congratulations. i know how you feel I'm 3 weeks to go. Its really all I think of most of the time.

Congratulations! Keep yourself busy because the time is going to feel like it's going in slow motion in anticipation of your surgery. Mine is 5 days away and I have to say that time is dragging! Good luck and best wishes!!!!

That's right! We are going to do this together...it's 2010 baby!!!! I start my pre-op liquid diet tomorrow. Thankfully, my liver was not enlarged so I didn't have to to the usual 2 week pre-op liquid diet. I haven't been going overboard though on my last days of solid food, but I did go out for dinner and drinks last night at my favorite restaurant...lol! I am soo ready for this! I will be praying for you ladies!

It is starting to really hit me that the surgery is getting very close and this whole thing is real. I just don't how I will sleep the night before the operation. I have to be across town at the hospital in the wee hours of the morning. And the anxiety is going to be intense. If I do sleep, I will set at least three alarm clocks. At least, my fav show "Lost" is on the night before so I will have a little distraction. LOL.

hey girl!!! my surgery is ALSO february 9th. im so excited!!! how is your pre-op diet going? ive already lost 4 pounds since monday.

My last appt. with surgeon is 2/03 so it will probably be right after that!! I am getting so excited, and I am so glad a friend of mine that had surgery 6years ago, told me to join this site......come on yall, lets take this journey together!!!!!!!!! LET'S DO THIS!!!!
