Topic: Packing for the hospital...
Any ideas of what to pack for the hospital stay.  My surgery is scheduled for Feb 1st.

I can't believe my date is here too.  The nurse called and said I have a 5:20 am check in time.  That means I have to leave my home between 3:30 and 4:00.  I'm a little worried because it will be a little more extensive because I will be having the remnant stomach removed because of bleeding issues I have.
Good luck to all of you on your surgery day.

=c) Nothing to be nervous about.  You get to wait around while people dote on you before surgery, you go to sleep and voila, they're there to dote on you after surgery AND you're going to lose weight =c) Mine's on the 8th and while my hubby is pulling his hair out, I'm practically dancing around the house in anticipation.

Congratulations on your surgery!  I'm bringing my baggy thermal pj's with me.  I'll be in the hospital for a few days but it's like a 4 star hotel so I need nothing else except the pj's and the husband (he gets his own bed).  My surgery is on the 8th for a sleeve revision and I've purchased tons of sugar free jello and I'm making popsicles out of high protein/low carb drinks and my bariatric shake (vanilla, banana and dutch chocolate) are being frozen too. Lipton has some great soups in little packages that I loved after my lapband surgery.   Good luck!

Congratulations on your upcoming surgery!  I'm excited for you and you're right, just thinking of how much healthier we'll be by this time next year is keeping me stoked even through the pre-op weight loss phase.  =c)  Good luck to you!

Woot woot!  231lbs...not starving...but still craving everything.  I know it sounds horrible but I hope everyone else struggles during this time.  My surgeons nurse said that this is going to be the hardest part of surgery...and she said that the first 10 lbs is coming directly out of the liver.  AND she said that my surgeon has done the sleeve on two other patients that lost NO weight before surgery and although it was difficult, he did it without any problems.  I feel a thousand times better than I did before.

My date is fast approaching! It seems to have taken forever to get to this point. My date is Feb. 3ard and I am so excited. I am not really scared yet. I usually do not get scared until they are literally wheeling me in the O.R. I also want to wish all the people with surgeries this month a huge Congrats! Just think how much healthier we will be next year at this time.

Hi, nope, no more second thoughts, I am sooooo ready, I cannot wait. I've been on a shake diet for two weeks, lost 10 pounds ( 17 since Christmas) so I feel great and ready to lose more!!!
I also bought what I will need for the firsts weeks, my suitcase is not completed but almost.

Hope your sinus infection will get better before surgery, I have that often and I am keeping fingers crossed to not get it before surgery.

Only 4 days remaining... It goes soo fast.

Good luck to you too, hope you'll have a smooth surgery, and see you on the losers bench!

My shopping is almost done, I've got the sippy cup and the plates, ustensiles, proteins and vitamins,etc...  I am looking for popsicle molds, as my nut said to make them with jello or shakes, to change from purees and liquids. But in Canada, at this time of year, the popsicle are really rare!!!  I will go today toget some creamy soups. I read that we should bring chapstick to the hospital because it's so dry. I will also bring some purel.

Today, I got a new haircut and coloring, a little pampering to look a little bit better at the hospital!!
Have a nice day! ( me and my new haircut !!)

I plan on wearing sweats to the hospital.  I'm on autodelivery for vitamins and calcium, bought my shakes and protein clear liquids, and  bought a Magic Bullet for shakes and pureeing food.  I used this girl's vlog as a shopping guide.
