Packed very light - what I wore (loose T shirt, sweat pants, socks, undies, tennies) and then in the small bag (clean undies, socks, T shirt for the trip home).  I didn't need slippers or a robe as the hospital provided both and I wore a hospital gown the whole time.  You have IV, perhaps saturation monitor, maybe some oxygen, inflatable leggings for clot prevention, all hooked up post op and the hospital garb is the most flexible item to wear with the snaps to get out of the sleeves if needed.  There is a minor amount of oozing from the incision sites for laproscopy as well so rather have that on a hospital gown which could be changed easily.  I didn't need a pillow, the hospital gave me as many as I wanted.  My purse had anything else I needed, like a brush, cell phone.  I was only in the hospital about 30 hours and didn't feel like doing anything but moving to prevent blood clots or sleeping and getting home.

I won't be posting from my bed but will let you know how I'm feeling in a few days. My weight is around the same as yours and I will be happy if I get to  down to 150 lbs. i don't worry about losing to much weight as I think our bodies know where to stop. I just hope to be a lot healthier. See You an the bench.

I am so thankful for all I have today. Be happy, Laugh often, Love Lots.

Yes Wedneday is my big day! I am so excited and a little nervous. I am glad to hear that you are not that hungery after spending 2 days on liquids. I hope I get that same result. Thanks for the saved spot;it is really great to be able to connect with you and be able to support each other;especially being that I have been away from this site for such a long time. When I joined this site I was seeing Dr. Gomez and He did my lap-band surgery about 3 years ago;well it slipped a week later and I had it removed and ever since that time I have been thinking about doing the surgery that I am having done on Wed.So between healing from the last surgery, finding the great people at Clarion, and beginning the journey over again and fighting with Insurance, and going thru all the testing and jumping thru all the loops I am finally ready. It has been a long time coming. My new doctor is Dr. Samar Mattar at Clarion North in Indianapolis, Indiana. I love the team he has and everyone is so great there. That is something else I am trying to figure out how to change on my profile;my doctors info, it is not correct due to me changing.

There are things I am still trying to figure out on this site. I am having a problem posting a profile picture;but I was able to upload other pictures on my page. From what I understand my picture size is to big. (Isn't that funny). I have always hated getting my picture taken because I am so big and now the computer is telling me the same thing...LOL. I am wondering what are you drinking on your 2 pre op liquid days ? Is it protein drinks or just clear liquids like broth and crystal light? I was going to call my nurse to see if I could try protein drinks during this time period;it will also help with being hungery.I cannot wait to be on the losers bench. I will be posting from my hospital bed so I will be able to keep everyone informed; Is anyone a little nervous about possabliy losing to much weight and looking to thin? that is another worry I have been having? Maybe I am more nervous than I thought.
