It has been a long time coming... but my surgery day is finally here! I am excited/nervous right now as this is the first time I am having surgery. I'm ready my new, healthy life to begin...
We are leaving tonight after the SuperBowl and staying at a hotel near the hospital (it's a couple hours from my house). I have the second suregry time in the morning at 11:00am. I am all packed and ready to go. So right now I am drinking my clear liquids and trying to get over my jitters.
I can't wait to join the Loser's Bench!!!

My lap band surgery is now only a few days away! I would love to get any tips or things I should know from all of you that have been through it. I am starting to get excited about this new phase of my life...but I am sure I will be even more excited when the surgery is over!

Hi All,
I havent' discussed a goal weight with my doctor. But I am thinking about 140-150 ish. I am somewhat muscular and would like to keep that. My highest weight was 350 and three days before surgery I am at 326. I hope that I will be able to lose all that excess weight in the first two years.
But my ultimate goal is just to achieve total freedom of movement with oodles of stamina!

My surgeon doesn't require a pre-op diet, just the day before surgery I have to drink a bottle of magnesium citrate and stick to clear liquids only. That's it.
