Curious
I actually had a weight gain immediately after the surgery because of swelling but I had lost 7 pounds in the 2 weeks leading up to the surgery from the lo-carb diet my doc had me on. Once i have some more healing and the swelling goes away I'm confident the weight loss will resume. Don't be impatient. We didn't gain all this weight overnight and we can't expcect to lose it all overnight. I've lost weight quickly in the past and always gained it back. I'd rather lose it slowly and have it STAY off!

I am almost 4 weeks out and am down 22 postop and about 45 total if you include weightloss from presurgery diet. I did have a weight gain about from 2-3 weeks out of about 5 lbs. But I was constipated and not getting my protein in. This week I started focusing on protein and dropped that 5lbs within 3 days. Protein protein protein! I am really trying to not be consumed about my weightloss and just focus on doing what I should. I know it will come!
I am a little concerned. I have only lost 9 lbs in exactly 2 weeks (I didn't include the 18 I lost which was water gained in the hospital). The doctor has taken me off of my water pill so that may be why I'm losing slowly- I may be retaining. I hope that's it and the doctor adjusts my meds accordingly. Now that I look at one of the other posts, it is very possible that I am not losing that fast because I'm not getting much protein in. I'm barely getting anything in. Everything hurts.
I lost 15 lbs on 2 wk pre-op diet...gained 11 of that back with water retention in hospital, and have lost the 11 lbs plus another 8 since I came home from hospital....so I am 10 days post op with 23 total lbs lost.....but only 8 since the day of surgery. I am also not getting much in due to a very irritated pouch, but I am sipping my protien constantly.
