New to the site, surgery date 2/22/10

Hello all,

Very excited and a little nervous that my date is finally here. I am having surgery at Temple Hospital here in Philadelphia on Monday, February 22, 2010. I can't wait!

I'm having mine on Thursday! I feel the same way. Nervous, excited, stressed by all the details I need to take care of between now and then.  I can't wait to compare notes about our surgeries!

How are you doing? I got my band the day after you and am glad to be home to my own bed. Post back and let us know how it's going. You're in my thoughts and prayers.

Everything went pretty well. My doctor told me I had a hiatal hernia he had to repair but didn't know that I had. After that he did the lapband and all was well and done. I came home later that evening. I haven't really had much pain other than the swelling and sorness as far as my belly area, but I did experience a lot of back pain. I think it may have been gas or the way I am sitting or sleeping. I still have a little bit of back pain but not like I was having a day or so ago.
