My last great cup of coffee....

I admit it...I am a coffee addict....I like sodas as mich as the next gal but coffee, I mean good coffee is my weakness.  Today I used the last of my southern butter pecan creamer and tonight I am heading to Starbucks with my coffee buddy for my last white choc mocha with caramel.  I am having surgery Feb 16 and starting my official diet next week, but if I buy another bottle it will not be finished in time.  Just wanted to say it is getting real now and I am nervous and excited and jumping out of my sin all at the same time!!!!!

Well, if it makes you feel any better, I haven't missed my coffee or soda since surgery...haven't even thought about it!

I started weaning myself off caffeine a couple of weeks ago and as of this past weekend am finally caffeine free.  I was only a 2-3 cup/day drinker but I found it hard some days.  There were times I needed Tylenol throughout the day and other days I need a nap on top of the Tylenol.   However, now I am fine and don't miss it like I thought I would.  I just wanted it out of my system way ahead of time.  I am due to have surgery on the 16th also.

You can use your protein powder and SF flavors to make things that taste similar to these drinks.  I too am a coffee addict although I am allowed to drink it on the pre op diet I am not sue about post op.   Good luck

Oh man Chrissy, I hear ya.  Even though I only drink coffee in spurts (everyday for a week then none for a month) I'll still miss it.  The good news is that you probably can drink a little of it  eventually post-op even though it will be waaaaay post op.  Good luck and God bless.  We're going to do fine.
