OMG! It's Here.

My date is fast approaching! It seems to have taken forever to get to this point. My date is Feb. 3ard and I am so excited. I am not really scared yet. I usually do not get scared until they are literally wheeling me in the O.R. I also want to wish all the people with surgeries this month a huge Congrats! Just think how much healthier we will be next year at this time.

 Congratulations on your upcoming surgery!  I'm excited for you and you're right, just thinking of how much healthier we'll be by this time next year is keeping me stoked even through the pre-op weight loss phase.  =c)  Good luck to you!

I can't believe my date is here too.  The nurse called and said I have a 5:20 am check in time.  That means I have to leave my home between 3:30 and 4:00.  I'm a little worried because it will be a little more extensive because I will be having the remnant stomach removed because of bleeding issues I have.

Like you said OMG! I cannot believe my day is a weekend away!  like you said, we will be much healthier in a year, but even this summer, I cannot wait to be more active and light to play with my kids... How many WOW moments are to come... I am so happy now!

My time is Monday Feb, 1st and my grandson just left. He came and made sure to bring in some wood for the stove when I get back. I sent some of my stuff with him as I will be staying at my sons on Sunday.
The phone just rang as I set here writing this it was the hospital calling and I am to report at 5:15 am. I am getting excited.    I started my liquid diet today and  I hope these next 2 days fly by. I am thinking of how much healthier I should be after the healing and surgery.
Hoping that all the people having surgery have a quick recovery.

Congrats on your date. I hope your time flies by for you too;just keep yourself busy as a bee and that will help. I will be on my 2 day liquid diet while I have to work Mon& Tue. so That will be fairly easy. I also plan on going to the gym and working out and getting to bed at a fairly early hour. All that to just pass the time. My parents are coming from Michigan to be with me for several days and to help out with things.Well good luck and keep positive.

Yes Wedneday is my big day! I am so excited and a little nervous. I am glad to hear that you are not that hungery after spending 2 days on liquids. I hope I get that same result.Thanks for the saved spot;it is really great to be able to connect with you and be able to support each other;especially being that I have been away from this site for such a long time.When I joined this site I was seeing Dr. Gomez and He did my lap-band surgery about 3 years ago;well it slipped a week later and I had it removed and ever since that time I have been thinking about doing the surgery that I am having done on Wed.So between healing from the last surgery, finding the great people at Clarion, and beginning the journey over again and fighting with Insurance, and going thru all the testing and jumping thru all the loops I am finally ready. It has been a long time coming. My new doctor is Dr. Samar Mattar at Clarion North in Indianapolis, Indiana. I love the team he has and everyone is so great there.That is something else I am trying to figure out how to change on my profile;my doctors info, it is not correct due to me changing.

I AM SO EXCITED FOR EVERYONE!! IT SEEMS LIKE EVERY SINCE I GOT MY DATE OF FEB. 15TH THE TIME IS REALLY FLYING!! YES WE WILL ALL BE HEALTHIER AND HOPEFULLY HAPPIER THIS TIME NEXT YEAR. IT TOOK ME A WHILE TO DECIDE TO DO THIS, BUT NOW I AM SO GLAD THAT I AM DOING IT. GOOD LUCK TO ALL  AND GOD BLESS!!!

There are things I am still trying to figure out on this site. I am having a problem posting a profile picture;but I was able to upload other pictures on my page. From what I understand my picture size is to big. (Isn't that funny). I have always hated getting my picture taken because I am so big and now the computer is telling me the same thing...LOL. I am wondering what are you drinking on your 2 pre op liquid days ? Is it protein drinks or just clear liquids like broth and crystal light? I was going to call my nurse to see if I could try protein drinks during this time period;it will also help with being hungery.I cannot wait to be on the losers bench. I will be posting from my hospital bed so I will be able to keep everyone informed;Is anyone a little nervous about possabliy losing to much weight and looking to thin? that is another worry I have been having? Maybe I am more nervous than I thought.
