So how have you prepared for your surgery?

I finished my shopping this weekend.
I bought toddler plates, a small bowl, tiny round screw on Rubbermaid containers, baby spoons, Isopure liquid nutritional  drink, protein shakes, a comfy outfit to wear to surgery, disposable sippy cups,  some pureed baby foods (mainly veggies) and a divided powder  container (made for infant formula) for protein powder to keep in my purse.

Yes, I'm jumping the gun a bit, but my dh will be useless doing any shopping for me after my surgery.

I got some small plates, small bowls, and small tupperware containers this past weekend too.

I also got some appetizer forks and spoons. I got some protein premixed, jello, broth, propel water, sugar free popcicles. I also finished getting my vitamins that I will need post-o
p.

Umm... I am sure I got some other things too but I just can't remember.

Yep, I've been preparing too... and I've got my suitcase out of the closet, adding things as I think of...What do mean by disposable sippy cup? It's the only thing It seems I have not  gotten yet!!
In a week, we'll be the night before... OMG

I don't think I will be able to sleep!

But we'll be so happy after!

I had watched a youtube video by a girl named Allison Pacino who suggested all the things I bought.  The disposable sippy cups are in the toddler aisle - they are to keep you from swallowing too much air when you drink.  Here's the link:

Hi

I haven't done any of the major shopping yet, but I have been stocking up on different types of protein powders.  I do have my shopping list made up so I can get the other stuff that will be needed after surgery.

I do need to add the small plates and utensils to my list!

Now to just survive the remainder of the liquid diet!!

Biggest Loser protien doesn't have much protien in it.  You might want to get some Unjury unflavored protien powder you can add to anything.

Hey our surgery is the same day!! I have bought sf popsicles, protein shakes, and various other things. I got my itouch ready with movies and music, mixer and soy milk ( absolutely love it and it does not irritate my stomach like regular milk does). Good luck to you

Thanks for the idea for the divided powder container, that is definitely going on my list.  I also bought my vitamins, some protein powders, but I also bought the gasx and some mirolax just in case.

On the fun side, I've decided to treat myself to a pedicure before surgery, I deserve it after this liquid diet :)
