Third times a charm???????

This is the third "got my date" post for me. First time, Doctor canceled day before my surgery due to a "mass" found on my thyroid. Turned out to be nothing, but glad she caught it. Then I was rescheduled for 20 Jan 2010, and just found out she will be out of the office until Feb. Now I'm re-scheduled for the 8th of February. Can't take too much more of this on and off again $H&#. Tired of the let downs!!!

Someone please stop this rollercoaster and let me off!!!!!!!!!!!!

  Look like you are making GREAT progress!!!!!

I went through the same thing 3 years ago-last minute cancellations, nothing found.  It was very damaging to the psyche.  I had to eventually start all over.  I have my date and hope it doesn't move- yours either.  Good luck and good luck with that pre-op liquid diet.

That's terrible Jim! I sympathize with you.  I was scheduled for Monday, Jan. 11th and got rescheduled for 2/1 because the surgeon had a family emergency.  It is an absolute emotional roller coaster.  It takes a lot to get mentally prepared and then to have it yanked from under you is such a bummer!  Let's just hope that we can keep ourselves busy so  the time will pass quickly!  Good luck to you!

 I have been rescheduled too.  I am now up for 2/11/2010!  I hope this works for the both of us!!

Yeah, the waiting is the hardest part. But I look at it this way, I waited 50 years for this, another month is nothing.

I wish you the best of luck on your surgery.  It sounds like you and I will be having surgery the same day.  I will keep you in my prayers that not only do they keep the appointment this time but that your surgery goes well and your recovery fast.
