Hi all!!!! My date is feb 22 , 2010 and I can't wait!!!!!! I feel like my stomach has shrunk already ... I've been so careful not to eat after 6 pm for so long that if I do I feel so full that it feels like I have to throw up! I can't even drink water .. Think it's all in my head????

Hey everyone.  I'm really excited too.  I learned about three weeks ago that my surgery date is February 8, 2010.  I'm a bit anxious, but I know that it's for the best.  I'm glad to be on the journey with you all.

Hi everyone,
It is comforting knowing that I am not alone in this journey!! My surgery date is set for February 2, 2010. I am very excited. I'm sure I will start getting nervous the closer it gets. I have a very supportive family, and my mom had the surgery April 2008. She has done great. She has been a great example. My main motivation is for me to get healthy so I can be around for my daughter. Plus I am so tired of being so fat that I have very limited clothes to wear and am so uncomfortable when we go to restaurants or the movies or anywhere! My daughter graduates from the 8th grade in June, so I am looking forward to weighing much less when I go up to receive the rose she will present me. And our summer camping trip, I have not been this excited to go camping ever!! I always sort of dread it, thinking ok next year I will have lost some weight so I won't be so uncomfortable!! It never happened, and this year it will finally be the year that I will be weighing less!!
Well, I am glad to be going on this journey with all of you! Good luck to all on our February surgeries!!

Hi everyone! I have a surgery date of  2/17/10 - woohoo. I'm excited. I have my visit with the dietitian  next week-  then all the paperwork will be submitted to the insurance. My fear is that I will be denied as I barely qualify.  (I do have hbp) But I can see I am losing this battle and would like to avoid the diseases and conditions that will someday come. I have yo-yo dieted all my life each time gaining a little more. I want so much to be in control of food - not it  to me! I have been checking these forums out for a while now. There's a great bunch of lovely people here - glad there is somewhere to talk about these things.
Best wishes - to all of us!

Hi, I'm new to this board - I just got my surgery date! 2-1-10.  I'm beyond excited but have a recent case of the anxiety craziness.

I recently lost my mom to a post-op DVT/PE from a double mastectomy in october so I know that that has a lot to do with my fear.  More about the actual surgery then anything.

Regardless I'm so excited for this new start!!

Hey we have the same surgery date, 2-1-10.  Just started my 4 week presurgery diet today and I must say it was rough.  Hoping tomorrow will be better!  I am sorry to hear about your mom.  I am scared of post-op complications too, but keep telling myself I am gambling by staying obese too!:)

Cheers to all of us February people!  I'm looking forward to the RNY so much that I'm counting down my days!  I'm down to 29 days.  I shopped today for the vitamins I'm going to need and over the next 4 weeks I will tidy up my desk and have my staff take care of any fires while I'm out.

I think I've read everything on this site, and it's been so valuable.  I'd love to know anyone in the Raleigh, NC area who is having their surgery done in February as well.  Any ideas?
