Junors are cut smaller and proportioned fot teen figures not yet bothered my gravity, lol.  I have to go a few sizes up for juniors too.  As long as I stay in the single digits.  Size is my consolation for such patheticaly slow weightloss.

I was in a size 24/26 a year ago, now I am in a size 10.... Juniors size 13 (not sure how that works) but those are getting big! I can't wait to get new clothes.

You're still way ahead of me in weight loss.  I thought I'd have lost 100 in a year but not even close.  Congratulations.

Look how much smaller a 14M is vs a 28W.  Build has a lot to do with size.  I'm still overweight but I've always been 'compact' or my weight.  At 5'4", I wore 18w/16w at 250 lbs.  That's why I'm in the single digits now.  You've done really well over the year.  Take credit for all of your hard work.

Topic: RE: Question- need help
I only wish I could loose 10 lbs a month.  I could not even do that the  first month out.

I'm still a slow looser but this has worked for me.  Watch the ratio of carbs to total calories.  I hold carbs to 20% for weight loss and aim to double my minimum protein needs (weight devided by 2.2 equal daily protein requirement in grams).  Its a combo of my surgeon's plan and what I've learned on body building sites to loose weight while preserving muscle.

I'll never loose at the rate you're looking for so I won't gaurantee fast results.  However, having lost 85 lbs or so my lean mass remains within five pounds or so of my pre op lean mass.

Thats important metabolically.  The more muscle you preserve, the better you burn calories.

Topic: My Bandiversary is this week ! Happy Bandiversay Everyone !
I can't believe it's been a year already. I can say the Realize Band has bought much change for me and my family. Last year this time I was a size 24. I'm now a size 8/10. I have  97 pounds and loving all the energy that I have. I can now say and mean it when I say. This summer I wont be fat. This for me was a life change not a New Years resolution. With the band I have lost a lot of weight and gained a whole lot of friends. I'm now seeing changes in my body. The changes that I see are the ones I saw when I was in high school. I workout everyday and I love how it makes me feel. Many people around me are asking for advise and losing weight as well. I think before I eat and I also watch what I'm putting in my body. My 1 year Bandiversay is the 26th and this week is going to be so positive I cant tell u how happy I am right now.  So to all of you that are celebrating your year or years. Have a wonderful anniversary !!! Much luck and success to you all !!!!

Your friend or new friend,
~Diana~

Probably my last topic on this page.

Hit my 1 year anniversary on Feb 19th, 2010.

Missed my personal goal by only 5 lbs. but I am amazed at my success  and health after just 1 year.

My size 38 waist jeans are getting loose.

My 1 year blood test results are great.

I've kept alot of hard earned muscle by keeping my protein up.

I love my new lifestyle.

Good Luck to all the Feb 09'ers

See ya..

Topic: Question- need help
Well I am a year out- and have gained 5lbs in the past month or so, I am so upset with myself. I know the holiday's didn't help and I ate some of what I shouldnt have. But what can I do to get back on track.?? I know I need to step up the exercising and water, any other suggestions?
I have about 60 lbs to go to get to my goal and I hope to do that in 6 months!

Hope everyone else is doing well!!
