Topic: X-post I DID IT WITHOUT PEEING OR PUKING!
Today I finished my first 5K run. I did the Halloween Run, organized by Kitsap Track Club. I was so nervous, okay, scared! My biggest worry was NOT, "Will I fall?" (I didn't) Nor was it "Will I be last?" (I wasn't). I wasn't even worried about dropping dead! (Which, obviously I didn't).
My biggest worry was "what do I do if I have to pee while I am out on the streets?" I mean, seriously, I lost sleep over this worry! LMAO!
Anyway, I did it. Now we are planning to do a 5K on Bangor (The Turkey Trot) in November.
Whodda thunk it!?
Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up.
It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed.
Every morning in

It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve.
It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.

You guys are doing great. Keep up the good work.  I am proud of the loss I have had but I wi**** was more.  I think that I have the flab, flab, flab in the tummy that will not go.  I am pushing to the 100 pound mark this week.  I have not touched basis with the Nut in a bit so maybe I should make a visit to her to get some suggestions on ways to drop another 30 over the next few months.  Either way, I will keep reminding myself to eat smart and plan my meals, that is the key.  I hate getting stuck away from the house with no snacks as the bad choices seem to look great.  It is a lifelong battle but I am up for the war.

Amazing to just hit a stall now!  I feel perpetually stalled as though actual wl is a fluke at times.

Try mixing up your routine like increasing calories to up your metabolism.  Look up calorie and carb cycling on body building sites.  It can work for us wls folks too.

Topic: RE: Are we done at 12 months??
That is so not true!  The biggest metabolic advantage is in the first 18-24 months.  The tool works for life.

Your body gets more efficient on fewer calories which makes loosing slow down as you get further out.  It does not mean the window has closed.  You have to be careful to eat enough to loose slowly without eating so little that you slow down your metabolism.

I try never to eat less than 80% of my rmr.  I cannot afford to further slow my metabolism.

Its all pretty dull.  Meat & veg.  Some fruit or lc protein bars or shakes.  A lot of sf popsicles/ fudgesicles/ creamsicles.

I use seasoning sauces in small quantities like kikkoman aisan seasonings or mcormick seasoning packages.  I'm more focused on keeping fat and calories down than on variety of flavors right now.
