Topic: One Month Post Op
One month out and  I am feeling good have achieved a lot in this month. A lot of craziness but also a lot of goodness to. I can finally get out of my bed without rolling out of it. I can get up my stairs without being winded and most of all I am not retaining water like I use to. Feels so good not to be feeling like I am going to split open anymore. I hope all other February Surgery Buddies are doing great as well.

I had surgery 2/25 too.  I didn't have the complications.  But, I too have had a low grade fever and a cough.  I was told not to worry unless it hits 101 and the cough is natures way of clearing your lungs.  It helps prevent pneumonia and blood clots in the lungs.

Topic: nausea
Hi every one!  I was banded on 2/25.  For the last three days I've started getting nausea about 5:30 pm.  I haven't been able to consume all that the NUT says I am suppose to.  Last night the nausea got really bad.  I'm wearing a transderm patch and took the meds for it to.  Jus****ching the food commercials on TV was making it worse.  So, I turned off the TV and went to be.  As soon as I laid down, my mouth started filling with acid.  You know that feeling/taste just before you throw up?  I held my mouth over my mouth and ran to the bathroom.  I spit out what was in my mouth and it looked like plain water.  But, after I spit it out I felt fine.  I didn't even throw up.  Does anyone know what happened?  Why I'm getting nausea now and not the first two nights.

I read about benefiber too...I'm hoping it doesn't taste gross because I have a hard enough time choking down my fluids.

Hi!!  I tried another canned fish tonight.  Salmon.  It was yummy.  No noises or complaints from the pouch.  I liked it better than the tuna.  You are right.  The tuna does not taste the same any more.  Everything is different.  I love my sf fudgesicles.  They taste like a little bit of heaven.  I have an extra box hidden in the garage.  My 4 kids are know for leaving the empty box in the freezer.  I think I would cry.  LOL over a 40 cal popsicle.    It's a whole new ballgame.

Interesting information. I would have never thought of that, but will be careful of sorbitol.
