LV'N MY RNY. WORKING FOR ME BECAUSE I WORK FOR IT.
So what are you thankful for this holiday season?
For me I am thankful for the choices to be able to have wls,get my health back and to be able to be here with family, friends and loved ones. The accomplishments I have made since this journey has begun. I am thankful for my Dr. my surgeon and all the staff at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston MA for giving me my life back.
Have a wonderful holiday!
Hugs,
Kathy

It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.

Thanks Cathy. I was a bit sore today, and unfortunately I don't have a tub, but a Swedish shower. So I went to the gym, swam for a bit to loosen up, then sat strategically in the jacuzzi, making sure to get jets on my knees, shoulder and back. I am sure I looked a bit like Gumby or the Circus contortionist! It helped though!

K.

I just found this board and want to say thanks for all the posts. I had my RnY Feb 06 and have lost a total of 170 pounds so far. I have a long way to go and like others that have posted, I hit a major plateau that lasted for 7 weeks.......It was driving me crazy. I started to have doubts and just kept with the doctors protocol and it finally broke but my loss has slowed WAY down. I wanted to be under 300 pounds at my 9 month aniversary but it didnt happen (fell 6 pounds short).
Anyway, just wanted to say great job everyone and keep up the great work.
Have a great day..........Rick

So, I invested in a really good pair or running shoes, and signed up for another one! I must admit, the courses have been rather hilly, so there is some walking/hiking up hills, jogging/power walking the levels, and running like the wind down hills. Really a mixed bag!!
I will be sore, but not as sore as I was after the first one! As long as my knee holds up, I think I will keep pushing myself. No fainting, no heart attack, no falls....just pure adrenalaine!
