Topic: Workout calorie exchange?
When I was doing Weigh****chers, we had a daily point allowance -  exercise deducted points from the amount consumed for that day.  Our group leader encouraged us to replace the exercise points with food points because not getting enough calories each day could make our bodies go into famine mode and we'd stop losing weight.

So, finally getting to the point, I've been averaging about 650 calories a day.  I've just started my workouts again (stationary bike and weights) which burns about 300 calories now and will burn even more when I get back up to the full weights workout.  My nut stays to not worry about calories at this point  but how can a body get by on 300 calories or less a day?

How do you guys handle this?

Bless your sweet, honest, heart!

I'm definately in the mourning phase; for me it's pizza and crusty bread.  I had a nibble of bread crust the other night but the fear of getting blocked kept me from eating more than a postage-stamp-sized piece.   Tonight I caught myself looking at chocolate covered tea cookies (2g of protein...) and having to close the cupboard and walk away.

I haven't dumped or gotten sick yet (I'm a little afraid that I'm going to be one of the people who don't dump) and I'd like to keep it that way.

How long does this mourning phase last?

6 WEEKS?!  I asked at my 2 week post op and they said it was fine whenever I felt like it as long as there was no swinging from chandeliers. Good thing the cleared me because we had already crossed that bridge.

I was told 6 weeks and I was going to go on the patch but my benefits won't cover it. I'm looking into an IUD now.

Wow, thats great I just had my two week  post op check up and I down 12lbs since surgery and 32 total... It is so weird to me that so many doctors have different Post Op eating plans. My doctor still has me on Clear S/F liquids and protein for two more weeks the I can move to mushy foods for two weeks, then soft foods for two weeks and finally around week 9 I can have regular foods. I am not really craving anything specific but would like something other than protein and popsicles.

Best of luck!!!

I know its frustrating I am at a stall once again. This is my second time I only lost two-tenths of a pound in a week.Keep the faith and know it takes time you will be absolutely fine.Don't focus on the pounds focus on your health and the inches that still come off of you.The process is a slow one and also a good one. I wish you the best.
