Put a walkman on and get out there. Thats how I do it. I walk to work listening to the radio. Otherwise I would not be able to seriously focus while I am walkinh it becomes a bore to be honest. So try it and make sure you have music on that keeps you going. I have lost slowly as well to. As of today 40 pounds and still there. It's better to lose slow than not at all. Promise you the inches are coming off and I am sure you look great.

I feel your pain!  I have only lost about 2 pounds since March 17th (which is my anniversary, btw) and I'm beyond frustrated.  What goes through my mind the most is that perhaps this, like everything else, has failed.

I'm also about fed up with .  This morning it was my own fault - I know better than to eat or drink before I go for my walk and I ate something and was rushed.  Not a good combo!  Tomorrow I pledge NOT to eat or drink before my walk!

Well that's good to know :)  I was just worried the fat was killing you or the bread gumming up inside.  I honestly don't have a ton of advice because I am still having a lot of trouble with heavier foods making me ill and coming back up.  Sometimes I can have some tuna...other times no way.  I seem to be having more trouble than a lot of people so I'm not sure what's going on.  I guess the best thing is to slow back down and start from basics again.

Have you heard anything from the doctors?

My surgery was feb 27th and I have lost 28 lbs. I'm amazed at how different I feel already! I have had so much fun playing with my little girl! I'm still on soft foods and can't wait to move to the next step!!

Okay, Shelly, say it with me...

"Everyone is different. I am losing. I am dropping weight that I will nevery carry again..."

I have lost more than some on my date, and less than others on my date. Slowing down means your body is taking a breather in the middle of the long distance marathon....not that it is throwing in the towel before the finish line.

Keep up the good work....we are all here, together...same fears and anxieties, but...WE ARE HERE!

Hugs,
Kathy

I'm getting stronger all the time but have been struggling with a stall through most of March.  I've lost 33 pounds and over 36 inches but want more more more :)

Yesterday a co-worker friend took me aside and told me the sweater I was wearing was really too big.  She meant it kindly and it was a WOW moment for me.

I can eat almost anything except dry meat (which gives me a really hard time)  and have been doing stationary bike, weight training and Wii tennis for workouts.  I tore a little muscle in my back lifting weights last Sunday so can only do the leg stuff until that heals but it's really no big deal.  People keep telling me that all the weight training is adding muscle so that's why I haven't lost more weight.  I can definately see the difference in my body - parts of me are starting to look a bit deflated.  It's not the most attractive thing on the planet but I'm already saving for the plastic surgeries so don't fret about it too much :)

Short answer?  I feel great and am glad I did this.

So how much have you lost?  You did not say? I feel your pain.  I was VERY discouraged also.  I went to see my doc on Monday and he put me back on my old water pill, after assuring him, I am drinking plenty of water, but did not seem to "go" that often.  Well after taking the pill.... I lost 4 lbs overnight!  Yeah.  So I feel a bit better now.  I had been taking that medication for about 6 years presurgery and I think my body was used to it.  Maybe you are holding some water also?  So I went from 30 lb weight loss in two months to almost 35 lbs.  BTW, the doc says some people lose a ton at first and then slow way down, and some people lose slow and steady.

I know, I know, everyone's different but seriously now, I seem to be losing sooooo much slower than the rest of my February Surgery Peeps!  I am a bit discouraged...I think this is when I should be losing more frequently because I know it will slow down.  At this rate though, I'm afraid that a slow down would equal the end of my weight loss...Why am I so afraid that this isn't going to work for me?  Am I losing it or what???

Shelly
