Thanks

I took surgery day pics in my undies and continued.  When bikini's went on clearance at the end of the summer I upgraded.

Sure I'm a four but I started several sizes smaller than you did.  Sixteen womens with a few eighteen womens thrown in.  Still about two sizes to go as I loose this last 24 lbs.  I'm starting to fit juniors sizes but only to try on.  The length is perfect but since I'm 30 years post teenager I'll stick to misses sizes, lol.

Topic: 11 Months Today - I'm half the woman I used to be!
Well, today, January 9th, I am half the woman I used to be. I've lost over half of my high weight, and 89.25% of my excess body weight. Basically, 19.5 lbs. to go to goal!

The time span between November to December was incredibly slow, December to January, a bit better... I increased calories to around 1000 to 1100 per day. Cardio three to four times per week with a few weight sessions added in (usually 15 minute sessions after a half hour cardio workout). I've increased my running/jogging/walking/crawling outings. Mapped a 1.7 mile route and a 5k route starting from my home.

Now that I am soooo close to goal, I know the loss will continue to be slow. I'm okay with that. I am still not "doing" pasta, white bread, rices. My protein intake is around 110 grams per day. I love my fruits and veggies. Red meat still doesn't sit well...but pork, lamb, chicken, seafood...yummers!

GOALS FOR 2010:  Improve my 5k time; run at least on 10k; negotiate a way to get my "panni" and possibly thighs "taken care of...." *saying in a Godfather tone of voice*.

I will write more later on my blog. I've neglected it over the past several months. Lots going on.

Hope you are all doing well, and that your New Year got off to a fabulous start.

Big New Year kisses to ya!
Kathy

It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.

Fantastic that you are at goal.

I know about the face!  I'm not wrinkeling but I am sagging towards the center.  I fear looking like a deflated baloon one day.

At the Rye NY OH conference I spoke with a plastic surgeon.  He insists that I wait a year to a year and a half after I stop loosing.  According to him my face should snap back.  If not, he'll refer me to a mid face specialist whose practice is mostly Black women after wls.  I hope he's right and it does not come to that.

Fighting hunger is harder.  Lately I've wanted to munch at night.  I'm sticking to lower cal things I like like sugar snap peas or a serving of pork skins.

This will always be hard.

Thanks!  You are looking awsome yourself.  That is a really beutiful pic for your avi.

I knew this would be hard work but I thought the scale would only move in one direction, lol.  Its not we think we can, its WE GOT THIS!
We are working it, hard as this may be.  We have not allowed making goal to be optional.

I do pics in the even numbered months but I haven't posted any since month six.  Here are my month ten photos.  I'll be uploading month eight soon.  Check out my profile in a couple of days.

Sorry folks, but with the addition of social networking links to OH I have made my profile and all pics private.  This is unfortunate as I love to share my photos and to view all of yours.  The photos I post are for my OH friends who provide such great support and encouragement, not the world wide web.

I am really happy with my weight loss I kinda hope I am done now lol I know this sounds crazy but I am 60years old and the face is getting wrinkled lol. I feel wonderful got my health back and some really skinny legs???? We don't know where they came from but ok I'll take them. I lost 133 lbs and I am at my goal. Now the hard part keeping it off, I have noticed I am getting a little more hungry lately but just need to keep that unwrap. Hope your all as happy as I am.

Congratulations and I am happy for you that all is going well for you. Things are well for me really haven't weighed myself lately cause I been feeling heavy so I will weigh myself when I am feeling more up to it. Praying the weight is still coming off but things have definitely slowed down the last two months or so.
