Topic: Worried
On Jan 10th I got injured at work. Been home for ten days now and I can't do much of anything. It's all muscualr skeletal my ribs and my spine. I try to do little things and I just can't the pain is so severe. I am going to be starting physical therapy soon hoping that will help out. My doctor says I may never be able to massage again if physical therapy doesn't help. I am so worried all my hard work not with only losing weight but also going through college and making a career move for the better will all fall apart. Need some major prayers to get through all of this it makes me so sad.

I'm happy with where I am - currently 215. My surgeon isn't. He "wanted" me to be at 190 when I saw him a couple of days ago. I feel like a failure.

Hooray for ELATED!

Monthly weight gain will always be a female thing but I'm especially cursed.  Humph.

I've never been into various activities for exercise.  Tried it, don't like it.  I have my weak moments, but I'm a gym rat heart and soul for decades.

Stay ELATED and keep Bedrock rock'n!

Thanks luv!

The bikini started as a dare on another forum, lol.  Turns out at just $6 each, I use them as undies when I'm home.  Saves $$$.  With my ever changing bra size I spend less on real undies.

My thighs are scary but I look forward to a new one piece this summer.  I bought a really cute one last summer that fit for about a month.

EWL formula, using me as example:

start weight:               331

healthy bmi goal:       145

difference or excess : 331-145= 186 lbs. of excess weight.

to date: I have lost 167 lb.s  therefore:  167 divided by 186 equals percent of excess weight loss: 89.8%

My doc says that average of 65 to 70% ewl after rny is good. I'm a bit ahead of curve, but anticipate that when I get to goal there will be a bounce back...seems people experience that, but  not everyone.

Hope that helps!

Hugs,
Kathy

Congratulations on your success...!!!

I know how to figure my BMI (even though I don't believe in it because it doesn't give credit to muscle), but how do you figure out your "excess body weight" ?
