Honestly, I did a little exercising, but I am ashamed that I didnt do like a lot of you, with walking several miles a week and working in the gym....I just kept a very close eye on my calorie intake and the weigh kinda fell off.  I guess once I got to a certian point my body realized I wasnt playing and if it didnt play by my rules...Id just starve it.  LOL.

Im really worreid about weight gain with baby.  Im worried I wont have that "honeymoon" period to lose all the fat.  So I am trying not to gain any extra if I dont have to, but thats not easy cause I crave nothing but carbs and sugar!  UGH!

Best of luck to you, I will pray that you recover fully from your injury and that things will work out, just keep trying and stay positive!

Congratulations on all your success and I sincerely hope all goes well for you. I know you have had great weight loss and many positive for yourself and that makes me happy for you.

I on the other hand have been unable to reach my goal due to being injured while I was working. SO since 1-10-2010 I have been in bed and unable to workout and walk 4-6 miles a day. I am a massage therapist and miss my clients and colleagues as well. I injured myself on my second massage. Still waiting on the mri to be authorized my my works insurance. Praying once I get better I can get back into the groove of it all. I am just thankful that I haven't gained during this time and I have stayed at my weight. Yet 85 pounds are gone and I am still thankful for that.

God Bless and Many Wishes for you and all the other Feb 2009ers

I have the same thing.  I've been told things like you look anorexic.  Don't let the so called "friends" get you down.  You're not doing it for them, its for yourself!  My surgerversary is Feb2, and I too would like to loose 4 more pounds.  Let's go for it!

I cant believe that a year ago tomorrow I had the surgery that saved my life and allowed my dream to come true!

To date I have lost 140lbs prior to getting pregnant with my most precious blessing!  I am currently 16 weeks pregnant, and starting to feel my baby move!

All I wanted was to be a mother and when I was told I wouldnt conceive because of my "weight issues" I decided to make a change in my life and have surgery!

Not even a year later, my dreams were coming true.

Hope all of you have acheived your dreams and feel as great about this choice as I do!

Hey there - I had the DS on 2/24/09 with Dr. Houston.   I have lost 276 pounds in the past year and I am still loosing.   I have had my 1st stall these past two weeks and I am not stressing a bit over it.   I am over 25 pounds below my goal weight set by my surgeon and I am working to get down to a normal BMI.   I was even described as the tall skinny one the other day - ME that is so funny.  Anywho... congrats to everyone who had WLS a in Feb of 09 - keep up the good work.

when the sun comes up you'd better be running.

Hello! I had RNY on 2/9/09. I am about 14 lbs. go my Doc goal, and have lost 92% of excess body weight. I work out approximatey 4 days per week, to include eliptical, running, weights, and swimming. Altough I lightened up the swimming and increased my running (I do 2 5k's per month, then shorter runs on alternating weekends****ep my protein as close to 100 g. as possible, usually a bit over. My caloric intake is around 1100 per day (average is 1050).
My loss has slowed, but is still around 2 lb.s per week, so this close to my goal...I am okay with it. My inches are going down quicker than the scale, so there is still progress!

I am down from a 26/28 dress or top size and a 26 pant size (of course those were the elastic waist...in jeans I would have been closer to a 28 or 30..maybe bigger) to a size 10 top and bottom.

I have the flying squirrel thing going on, but try not to focus on it too much, as I cannot even imagine plastics right now. I'm too busy!!! And, I need to make sure the doc reports a medical neccessity, or no insurance coverage.

I wouldn't worry about being "behind" or "ahead". Every BODY is different, and metabolisms change at different rates. As long as you are following your plan, feeling good, and enjoying your journey along with all the small victories, IT'S ALL GOOD!!!

Keep it up, you are doing wonderful, (and by the way, you are beautiful!)

Hugs to ya,
Kathy

Wow!  You should be so proud of your accomplishments with weight loss and congratulations on the soon-to-be-arrival of your baby.  Losing 105lbs is terrific....hope i can say that one day. Have a support group meeting tonight.  It's been like a month since I have gone so maybe that will help.
Thanks so much for saying hi! I have found alot of support on OH, it's nice since I don't have people in my life that have had WLS.
