Dont know about yall but I was lookin at all the food today and realized we are almost out of the Honeymoon period!  I had my surgery 2/2/09 so....Im like a lil over a month away from 1 yr post op!!  EEEkk!!  luckily, I am more than satisfied with my journey so far, and feel even though I dont "diet" I make healthier choices now and am holding strong at 190...which is where I feel comfortable.

Update --- Baby is doing great!  we will be 11 weeks Monday and hopefully have another ultrasound or at least hear my puffins heartbeat!!  Since Xmas is over its time to focus on getting things ready for baby....and buying all things baby!

Can never be to prepared!!

Love you all hope you had a great holiday!  God Bless

The honeymoon's not over yet.  We can get as much as 18-24 months of good malabsorption.  Exactly how much each person gets and for how for long is immeasurable.

What ends for nearly everyone is the period of fastest weight lost.  Not an issue for me since I've never had fast weight loss to begin with.

You're right, malabsorption is for life.  However the peak malabsorption period is within the first two years or less.   Nutrient malabsorption differs.  That takes place in the bypassed section so the intestine cannot adapt itself.

Congratulations and I am happy for you that all is going well for you. Things are well for me really haven't weighed myself lately cause I been feeling heavy so I will weigh myself when I am feeling more up to it. Praying the weight is still coming off but things have definitely slowed down the last two months or so.
