GOAL, CAN YOU SEE IT ON THE HORIZON ANYONE?
Much love to my Feb 2009'ers! We're all hitting our Eighth Monthiversary this month.
This Tween stage is a ***** Not a Newbie, not a Veteran, getting bored with staying on plan and goal is so close yet so far. I find myself more easily tempted and making more slip ups than ever over the past month or so. I've seen your postings so I know I'm not alone.
How far is goal? Are you half way there yet, a little less, a little more, stuck in limbo? Or, are you the lucky one who is close enough to goal to anticipate its sweetness? If your goal is a NonScaleVictory? What is it and how close have you gotten?
I've got 26.6 lbs to go and this stubborn edema is to blame for just two lbs in about six weeks. The inches are moving though with my waist finally under 30" at 29.75". I've dropped from size 8P to size 6P in jeans this month; but damn it, its all about the scale for now, right or wrong. My surgeon won't be checking my Levi's at my annual follow up. I've still got two bp meds so I'm not there on the NSVs yet either.
Lets hear it February 2009'ers can you see goal in the distance yet?

LV'N MY RNY. WORKING FOR ME BECAUSE I WORK FOR IT.
When eating enough is hard just remember foods like nuts and avocados. All those good fats raise the caories and are nutritious too.
I guess that should be my goal, too (it's still overweight) .... and I'd ultimately be 'okay' with that weight, but I'd love to be <*gasp*> it's the first time I've said it out loud ... at half of my starting weight ... which is another 30 pounds below my Doc's goal, and directly in the center of the 'healthy' weight according to those nasty charts.
As for single digit size clothing .. I'll never get there. I don't have the bone structure for it. [That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it! ] Seriously, tho ... in college I was 135 pounds, but I never got below a size 14. I'm thrilled to be fitting into some size 18s (dresses), and 20/22 (slacks). This is a major change from the 30/32 I had been in. I *can* find clothing in the 'normal' clothing stores now, and don't have to gravitate to the large woman sections ... tho, I do kind of miss going into Fashion Bug and looking for the little indicators on the hangers that meant that was their BIGGEST size ... it was *much* easier than hunting through hundreds of hangers for the correct size. How is that for 'sick'? ;)

Yesterdays size 14 is todays size 6. When I wore a 12 way back when it fit a 26" waist. Now with a 29"+ waist I wear a 6/8. Its not about bone structure, they changed the numbers. Vanity sizing its called.
The standard US size chart places me between the old 14 and 16. The clothing industry added sizes 0 and 00 when women are getting bigger not smaller. My high school 12 is nw a 2/4 by most manufacturers.
Being off meds is huge. You may be a little farther from final goal than some but you've had some of the biggest victories of all the Feb09'ers.
I've been getting that low bp sometimes too so I had a med adjustment this month. I'm praying that by my next follow up its down to a diuretic only then off all bp meds by early 2010.
