Kudos for kicking the scale.  I don't think I can ever manage that.  I keep remembering how I used to weigh daily and my weight stayed stable...then what happened when I stopped.  I'm just not disciplined enough but I'll get there.

I think I had a 6 month stall and a meltdown to go with it.  I saw my doctor and he got me over that.  I was so wrapped up in the numbers that I lost sight of the reason I had surgery in the first place.  My life is changed because of my WLS.  I am a different person and I have a totally different life than a year ago.  I just forget and freak about the scale.  I am healthy.  I feel great.  I am getting into shape.  I have more to lose, but I had to step back and enjoy being exactly where I am right now.  So... to the numbers.  95 lbs from my highest, 80 since surgery.

Thanks all you February Peeps.  I really need your support.  You guys have all done amazing.  Please feel free to vent, whine, yell, cheer... We are in this together.

Have a great week!!

I hear you on the meltdown.  I don't think I'll calm down until I'm below surgeon's goal.

Getting close to 7  months (9/9/09)! I will keep this short, as I just took some pain meds, and am feeling a bit loopy!
I've been doing really well. Had my 6 month post op, and was at a 64% of excess weight lost. Doc's goal was 50%, so ahead of the curve.
Then the day after my post op, I had a severe gall bladder attack! Damn it hurt!  Anyway, had my gall bladder removed last Friday (3 days ago). Same day surgery, and I'm going back to work Tuesday.
Surgery went  well, only down side is this cantaloupe size water balloon behind my belly button! I know it is typical surgical site fluid build up, but heck!!! it weighs about 3 lbs! I'm so mad!
Okay, I've had my tantrum...
The fluid will dissipate, and I will be able to restart my workouts. (I wanted to today, but my DH grabbed the phone and threatened to call my Doc.).
So, I guess I will wait until my two week gall bladder post op to get the ok for workouts. I MISS MY WORKOUTS...I FEEL SHLUMPY WITHOUT THEM!

Phew...off to bed for me...
Hugs to all of my fellow Feb's. You are all doing so amazing! Let's face it, WE TOTALLY ROCK!

It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.

Glad the surgery went well.  Congrats on getting ahead of the curve.  A dream come true.

I love my RNY!!!  I am down 95 pounds since my surgery on 2/19.  Another 15 pounds till I reach my doctor's goal of 160.  I would like to go down to between 145 - 150.   I have had no problems eatting and have never dumped.  I obey the doctor's orders and eat healthy.    I exercise 5 to 6 days a week by lifting weights and walking and have only stalled around the two month mark.

I am staying on track because I feel so darn great!!!!!  I just bought three size 12 dresses for a cruise I am taking in two weeks to celebrate my 25th wedding anniversary.  How I feel, the beautiful clothes I can now fit into and most importantly my friends and family's support keep me on track.

When I get back from the cruise I will post new pics.

Best wishes and congrats to everyone,

Kathy

I'm doing great. It's been almost 7 months for me and I've lost 102 lbs! I've never lost this much weight dieting before. My band has helped me so much and I've changed my eating habits completely. I hope to never revert back to my old ways. I've gone from a size 32 jeans into a 20!!! I am less than 20 lbs away from my weight I was at the age of 13. It's just amazing and I am so glad I had WLS. I still struggle with exercise and food some days but all in all it's going great.
