I am six months post op today 8-3-09. I walk 2-6 miles a day. I have more energy than I ever had before. I haven't used my asthma inhaler in two months and I am off my c-pap machine for my sleep apnea. My doctor said he wants to do another sleep test on me but he said I dont need it.My career is going great I have more energy to be able to do five one hour massages a day .Depening on the make of clothes I can either be in a 16 or an 18 all I know it's much better than being in a 24.
So tell me how have you accomplishments been? What is your greatest accomplishment thus far?

My start weight was    276
My weight now is        211
I have lost                       65 pounds to date

My goal weight is 145

CONGRATS on your improvements!!!

I am doing
WONDERFUL!!!

My 6 months is 8/09- and I have lost a total of 136 pounds!!
CRAZY stuff- but wonderful!!

My energy is thru the roof- work has become easier and I am more focused.....

I LOVE to buy clothes now and don't have to buy them on line at those "specialty" shops- I can shop at "regular" stores.  I'm between sizes- am in an 18 thats getting a bit big and baggy- can wear some 16's!!

I havn't done my monday measurements yet- but as of last week  I have lost over 83 inches!!

I love my sleeve!!

It won't be 6 months for me until the 16th....but I feel like I'm doing well. I have lost 80lbs to date and will be so thankful to never see them again!

On another note....I am beat! I cannot keep my eyes open, I have no energy whatsoever. My Dr gave me a script and I have to go for bloodwork next week and have an appointment the following week. This is very frustrating, hope all my levels are ok.

Hope everyone is enjoying the summer and working towards their goals!

i will be 6 months post op on the 9th, and I am doing pretty good! I have lost 103lbs so far, and I went from a size 26/28 to a 16/18! I am in a large top too from a 3X! I feel really good, I have been taking Iron and a B12 sup. and it seems to be working fine, because I have a lot of energy now. The biggest problem is, I can run, but when I do, all the extra skin is starting to run the opposite direction!

My greatest accomplishment as got to be that I was in the Largest size Lane Bryant carries, and now I am in the smallest they carry! I actually went into the store and tried on the 14/16's and they fit!!!Such a great feeling. On the other hand it was also nice to fit into the jeans that I saved from High School, but I am almost shrunk completely out of them!

I am 6 months out today...down 73lbs and feeling pretty darn great!  Gone from a tight size 22 to comfortably wearing a 14!  I still can't believe it's been 6 months already...where has the time gone??

So far so good for me! Not quite 6 months. Just took measurements tonight, and have lost 7 inches since July 10th. This past week has been my slowest weight loss, but no gains, so I won't complain!

Work is going wonderfully, as are my workouts. I try for at least 30 minutes of cardio (usually elliptical), with my heart rate at the 80 to 90% range, followed by 30 minutes of lower intensity "fat burn", followed by a round on the weights for my bat wings and thigh wings, and emerging abs. (I know they are in there somewhere.....).

Lots of WOW'S recently. Went to a memorial for my cuz who passed unexpectedly, and hadn't seen all the family since my dad's funeral in December (pre-op). Extended family was blown away....
Jet ski fly's faster over the Canal with 100 less pounds on it!

Clothes are still a bit tricky for me. I hate shopping. Always have. I think I was a nudist in a previous life. My top is smaller than my bottom (or my abdomen). Depending on style, my tops are down from a 26/28 to a 16/18.
My jeans (yes, with zippers) are down from what had to be probably a 30 to a 20 or 22 depending on the cut.  When I was wearing the elastic waist, no zipper, pull on denim jeans, I was in a 26. Now, a 16 if I want to wear that style, which I don't.

Off all HBP meds, as I was getting a bit light headed, due my blood pressure being too low.

I'm at about 56.5% excess weight loss, which is 6.5% over my docs goal for 6 months.

Looking forward to posting my 6 month surgiversary pics.

You are all doing so great! I'm proud of all of us!

Hugs-
Kathy

It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.
