Hi everyone,

I am wondering what everyone has been eating.  I feel like I am in a funk.  I know what I should eat but I am so sick of the same thing that I just don't feel like eating at all.  I don't want egss, fish, or chicken.  I know I need lean protein but I am so sick of my usual. Does anyone have some ideas they could share with me.

Thanks
Stephanie

I know what you mean.  Thankfully there are protein bars.

I used seasoned veg for some variety.  Saute onion, shallots, garlic (one or all) in a tbsp olive oil or smart balance.  When tender add pack of veg (the fresh ready to microwave bag, any type).  Add dried seasonings of your choice and salt if desired and cook covered on low to desired tenderness.  I throw in thawed  frozen seafood sometimes and a little lemon or lime.

I also use walden farms sugar free/ calorie free sauces, dressings, dips and spreads and kikkoman aisan sauces for protein and veg.

Tonight I ate a grilled turkey burger patty that had been seasoned w/ cajun seasoning.  I topped it w/ black beans and salsa.  I eat a lot of leftover pieces of various meats topped w/ black beans and salsa for my lunches.  I also love taco salads made w/ ground turkey that is seasoned w/ taco seasoning.

There are many cookbooks for after Gastric Bypass or Lapband surgery at the bookstores. Many things to eat and a lot od the stuff is good to. Try getting some new cookbooks and experimenting. I wish you all the best and I hope things work out for you. I have actually been able to eat beef but I need to eat filet mignon its a better quality steak and its really tender as well so it goes down easy. My nutritionist tells me to add my meats into a crockpot and add some broth to it to tenderize it. I wish you the best and I hope all goes well.

I know what you mean....  I am stuck on chili right now.  It taste the best to me and doesn't mess with my pouch.  I haven't got bored by it yet.  I also love tortilla soup.  I have a hard time with chicken, so the extra moisture helps.  I just use the guts of the soup and drain off the broth.  I need to experiment more too.  Good Luck!!  Let us know if you find anything good.
