3-Month Post-Op Check-up

Okay, so i had my checkup today! So far I have had a loss of 91lbs. According to my Doc, they expected me to lose 92 lbs by my 6-month, and I have pretty much beaten that by 3 months! WOOHOO! I feel great! I have run out of clothes in my closet, have given them all away because they literally fall completely off! I have had to make new holes in my belts, and have had to start wearing my wedding rings on my middle finger! As for food, I eat pretty much anything that contains protein, and have a taste of things such as mashed patatoes and rice every once in a while. Still trying to mostly avoid starches and am avoiding all sugar (had my first experience with dumping syndrome after a portion of a cup of coffee with creamer in it). I am so excited for the remainder of this journey and am thankful that i finally changed my own life! How are the rest of you Febbers doing?

I'm still at 40.5lbs lost since surgery...... I'm in another stall  (the past week and a half). But it'll eventually come off.

Congrats on your loss so far, you're doing awesome!!!

Well, I know exactly how you feel. For the past couple of weeks I have only been losing 1-2 pounds a week, which is frustrating! But I had a lot more weight to begin with, so I am sure this last 60lbs is going to be the most stubborn! I think you are doing great, your inches lost is very impressive! Keep up the good work!

How in the world did you lose 92lbs!!!???  Was that all after surgery or was some of it before??   I have lost about 50lbs and have hit a plateau for about a week so far. I get frustrated but  I know that i am better off now than I used to be.

I tolerate meat very well and really most foods that I don't eat too fast. Can I say I hate the foamies!!  I'm getting better with it though. My clothes are a sore subject. I really don't have much I can wear, but I refuse to buy any new stuff yet. I'm actually looking forward to summer this year. That's new for me.

I hope everyone else is doing good!

Yes a little bit of the weight was lost pre-surgery, but my Dr. counts from the  beginning so I am not sure what was lost when! I know exactly how you feel about the clothes! I completely refuse to buy new clothes until I just can't possibly wear what I got anymore! I have to keep pulling up my pants, but they are working for now! Congrats on your weight loss, I just can't believe how well everyone is doing!

Congrats to everyone, I myself being at 3 months, Monday-have been at a stall pretty much all month. I have only lost 9 lbs, in a month.  I have a hard time getting in my fluids- and can't stand any of the protein shakes.  I get my labs back at my appt on Tues- So I know I"m going to get my butt chewed.

I am happy with the 45 lbs that I have lost- but at this point I had hoped to be at least 50-60 lbs.

I think once I am able to get my fluids in- and get my protein up, hopefully I will be over this hurdle.

Keep up the great work everyone!
