I just now found this message board, and think it's great to be able to share experiences with people who have the same surgury date as myself.

I had VSG done 2/09/09 and it was the best decion I eveer made. I wish I had done it 10 years ago. But, now that I have had it done, I am getting healthy.

I'm a divorced woman of 50 years young I have 2 grown boys 24 and 27. Both are very supportive of my "lifestyle" changes.

I am AMAZED at how much I have lost in just 2 months.... I have lost 69 pounds, and 45 inches so far!! Is that a WOW moment in my life! I have a long way to go..... but I feel it's a great start.

I hope to meet some new friends here, and share experiences!

Your weight loss is astounding! WELCOME! I wish I had had my surgery ten years ago, also. Maybe my knees would not be so bad. My weight damaged the joints beyond repair.

Thank you all for such a warm welcome!!

I just went back to work after being off for 6 months, so I am a bit overwelmed with work and not able to get online like i like to,

I had a total knee replacement in Oct. surgury was a success, but my weight slowed down my healing and I had no endurance. I had been looking into WLS for over 2 years, and insurance wouldn;t pay and after the knee replacement, I KNEW it was time to do it, I am a self pay and it was totally WORTH it. Best decision I ever made.
