sex and contraception?
I was told 6 weeks and I was going to go on the patch but my benefits won't cover it. I'm looking into an IUD now.

i had sex about 4 days out, the b/f was very careful and the dr told me if i felt pain to stop. No pain! I just went to see my gyno, and because I have never had children he advised against an IUD. So I went with the NuvaRing. Honestly, (not to be to graphic) I have been wearing it for well 3 days now...and I dont even notice it. Its really easy to insert and my dr said it can be removed for intercourse (not to freak out my fella) for up to 3 hours.
Ill let you know in a month or so if i still like the ring..but so far...its simple, put it in on sunday...leave in for 3 weeks, remove for a week...repeat. lol.
Good luck!

I was given the all clear at 2 weeks. We are using condoms now, but hate them, so I'm going to push the vasectomy thing or see about an IUD.
Good luck!

Good luck!

I always have to pipe up on contraception threads and make sure people know about Essure http://www.essure.com/
If you're through having children, it's permanent and non-surgical. My DH kept postponing his little snip snip appointment and, despite being MO, I was very fertile so I decided to just go for tubal ligation but came across Essure. I had the procedure in January 2007 and have been thrilled with it.
The website is very informative.

Ooh, I forgot about that. I looked into that a couple years ago. I'll have to check it out again.
Thanks for the info!

I've never heard of it. I wonder if it's just in the US? I'll have to ask my gyno about it at my upcoming appointment.
