How is everyones weight loss going??  After losing alot the first 2 weeks, it is easy to get discouraged by the next 2 weeks and losing a smaller amount. Don't you think??  I lost 18lbs after 2 weeks, then 7 the next 2 weeks. So a total of 25lbs.  What did everyone else have after one month??

Hello Jo,

I have had a slow weight loss. I was on steroids for almost three weeks. So I am thinking thats why I didn't lose for a while but since my two week pre-op I have lost thirty six pounds. Lost sixteen before the surgery and the twenty since then. The weight loss has started again but its not a rapid weight loss its a slow one.I just feel any loss is better than no loss and I am happy I move around so much better now with the weight that is gone.

Hey Nicole,

36 is awesome, congratulations. I hear ya about losing slowly rather than not at all!  I wanted to see if I fall in the normal range or if the nurse was just being encouraging.(HEHE)

I am down 31 lbs sense 1 week prior to surgery. I am not getting in enough protein either, but I am trying, I need to find more variety, the nectar is good, but gets boring. I am getting in my water, so that is good.

I am down 30 since surgery, 35 since pre-op appointment.  I AM OUT OF THE 300'S !  Shhh...I don't want to jinx it.
I have had a hard time with my protein as well, however I'm on soft regular foods now, so that helps. SALMON HAS BEEN A PROTEIN LIFE SAVER.
I am also using WHEY Protein Powder every other day in a smoothie, so my protein runs anywhere from 40 to 73 g. per day.
All docs and Nuts have different guidelines. I'm supposted to be shooting for 40 to 60....so just doing my best.

The Grape Frost ISOPURE water is a good idea....you can sip on it throughout the day, and it is 40 g. of protein. Just don't drink it all at once, as we can only  metabolize about 30 g. of protein in a meal.

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!   WE TOTALLY ROCK!

Since my 2 week pre-op diet i am down 38 pounds. I lost around 10 during the pre-op stage. My weight loss has come to a halt but I am starting my period so hopefully it will pick up again in the next week. The good news is that I'm actually having a period 28 days after my last one. I usually only have them every 4 months. Plus I did not gain any weight during PMS. I use to gain 8 to 10 pounds the week before my period. Also, I use to have little tiny bumps on my upper arms and they are now gone. Crazy! My husband pointed that out about a week ago.

Another small victory is that I now fit into my size 18 jeans....woo hoo! I pulled out a pair that looked brand spankin' new from a few years ago and hey fit perfect. I can't wait to pull out the 16s.

I think you are right on track. I've lost about 28 pounds in one month. I expect it will slow down even more but as long as I'm moving down and not up I will be happy. Hang in there.

Well, this is my first time on the site.  You all are aewsome.  I am shy a few days from one month but have only lost 13 lbs.  I am having still 3 shakes a day with the semi soft food.  I am worried why is it so slow...  I alkso go on the eliptical 2-3 times a week.  Feeling a little disappointed, Lisa

Hey Lisa,
Don't be discouraged!  Everyone loses at a diiferent pace...slow and steady wins the race!
