Puree/mush level question

Just a quick question for those eating at the puree or mashed food level.

How much can you eat and how often do you eat.

Very curious...because I know every pouch is a little different and every Dr. has different rules

I eat about 3-4oz  three times a day with snacks of broth and/or skim milk as snacks to bring up the protein levels.  I've found that I have to be careful about getting some calories in every few hours or I have an energy crash.

I can intake about an ounce a food at a time thats a 1/4 cup of food. Make sure you "dont" drink while you eat you will get sick I learned my lesson on that one the hard way and was sick for two days.I am still learning when I am full so thats a hard thing to. As the time goes on I have learned that its not about actually being full and having that full feeling its about not feel like I am hungry or needing food.Take your time explore the foods you are allowed and learn what you can intake and not.Make sure you get in all your protein though and keep yourself hydrated.I wish you the best hope this helps a little bit.

I just moved up from 2T to 3T of food at each meal and that feels about right to me.  I eat breakfast between 7:30-8:00, lunch around noon, and dinner around 6:00.  Between each meal I drink a glass of milk w/ Carnation Instant Breakfast.

I eat three meals a day. I typically can finish between 1/2 cup and 1/4 cup of food. Example: Breakfast 1/2 c. ff cottage cheese with tsp. of sugar free strawberry preserves. Lunch 1/4 cup tuna salad (tuna, egg, mayo). Dinner 1/2 cup pot roast with some mashed potatoe added in - I can't finish the full 1/2 cup.

My Doc's and Nuts recommendations are:  3 meals per day. If I go more than 5 hrs. between meals then a small healthy snack is okay. In between meals I get my water in. I'm having a hard time tolerating my old friend Crystal Light.

Thanks for all the input everyone...very helpful.  I am trying to do three meals with two protein shakes in between, plus my liquids of course.  I find  that I can do about 2oz. of tuna, but close to 4oz of something very pureed.  Maybe it flows quicker through my pouch.  I know he made my pouch about 1.5 ounces, which is larger than some.  He said smaller pouch isn't always better...he wanted me to be able to feel like I had an actual meal (just very small one of course).  

I'm having trouble getting in fluids because my nut said to not drink a half hour before meals and 3 hours after meals...so that cuts down on my time I can sip.

I'm supposed to be getting 3 3 ounce meals per day but I haven't been able to get in the whole 3 ounces yet. I usually manage 2 to 2 1/2. I'm getting all my protein with shakes though so I'm still good.

IM SO JEALOUS!!  some of you get to have mashed potatos....oh i miss carbs!  lol.  i cant have anything with starch....

 no bread, potatoes, crackers, etc.

i eat about two times a day right now, usually about 4ish and 8ish.

 

i drink 2 slimfast low carb shakes....(they are the best Protein and taste i could find!!  expensive though...but i dont dump on them!!)

 

as far as meals...i dont really measure any more....i know when i am full...luckily.  i did measure for about the first two weeks...
