I just uploaded some pics onto my profile. My official "before" pics, a couple of the incision spots, and one of me in the world's biggest hospital gown...LOL

You are so darn cute in that giant hospital gown. I love the smile. No way would I have been taking pictures at the hospital. The first 24 hours were not pretty. Thanks for sharing those with us.

LOL... thanks! The only reason that pic's there is because it was before the surgery, when we were still laughing and goofing around! My friend Calvin asked if I wanted any pics taken of me afterwards and I said no way!! I didn't figure I'd be much in the mood and I was right.

I do wish though that I had gotten one pic of me and the three ladies who were also Dr Fitzer's surgery patients from the same day :( That would have been great to have!

Loved the pics, and also read your RNY Blog.  It really gave me some insight on what to expect with my surgery this Tuesday, the 24th.  
I have to admit that you really make me laugh at times with how you tell your stories......like when you were describing your pain level......and they put "fair"   and then the Dr.s assistant put "good", when you are actually feeling "****ty".    Which by the way, I hope you're feeling much better now!!

Thanks Karen!! I LOVE writing the blog!! I'm glad that they're making people laugh too! I was feeling alot better, but then I had the big car ride home with walking stops and all the time in the car made me feel pretty sick and sore. I found that going around corners hurt the most because my stomach muscles would tense up. Also, if you are prone to car sickness? Take gravol for the trip home becasue it's worse! I am so glad he warned me of that before I left the hospital.
And yes, I just got home a couple of hours ago..... I bawled when I saw my kids! I missed them so much!!

 

I bet when your kids saw you, they felt the same way too........"Mommy's home!!"  
What a great feeling that must have been.     I envy you.    I always wanted kids, but ended up having three ectopic pregnancies.......God had other plans for me, I guess.  (lol)
Anyway, thanks for the advice on the car sickness......luckily for me, I don't get sick.   Plus, we only have a 40 minute ride, which isn't bad at all.
