Home from hospital
I had lap RNY on Friday the 13th. Everything went great. The only problem I had was with the morphine I got for the pain. It gave me the worst headache ever. Since the pain was tolerable, I did not use the pain pump any more and I felt good after that.
My surgeon said that my diabetes was under control and I did not need to continue my diabetes or cholesterol medicines. That is the best news I could have possibly gotten. It made the surgery so worth it. Also, I now weigh 198 lbs ( am so thrilled to weigh less than 200 lbs.). I am to follow a clear liquids diet until my next appointment in a couple of days, but that is OK, because I absolutely do not feel hungry. I think the hunger button in my brain was turned off or something.
I still can not believe how fast I recuperated from major surgery. I absolutely feel good.
I hope everyone else is doing well. Wish me luck on the rest of my journey.
