Is any one being banded in Febuary?? Seems everyone posting is RNY.

BAND REMOVED 9-4-12-fought insurance to get sleeve and won! Sleeved 1/22/13! Five years out and trying to get that last 15 pounds back off.

There does seem to be a lot of RNY's in Febuary. I would presume because it is one of the most (if not the most) popular wls. I am having teh Duodenal Switch on the 24th.

Like someone else posted, the RNY & Banding are the most likely to be covered by insurance and of the two RNY makes the most.

Surgery was great - no major complications

Only in hospital for 1 night (had trouble with pain management.. )

Doing great! 4 days out, 8 lbs down..not hungry yet.. still in the honeymoon phase. I updated my blog about how I'm doing - included a pic of my band as well.

Overall, things were great!

I am getting banded 2-25. I'm so excited. My hair has already started coming out I wonder if its just my nerves. Are you having any anxiety or anything?

Check out the Lap band message board under the surgical forums. It has helped me a lot. I was banded on 2/5/09 and just moved on to stage 2 foods today (the mushies-finally). I have lost 16 lbs. since surgery 12 days ago !!!
