Things went well Friday.  It seemed to take forever to come out of the anesthesia but I was feeling better by the next day.  It is great to be home and I am concentrating hard on my fluid intake and trying to keep the kids off my lap!  It sure feels good to be home.

I am glad to hear everything went well and you are already home.   I know when i get home after my surgery my biggest challenge will be keeping my dogs off me.   They like to climb all over me now ( guess i feel like a big pillow to them.. LOL).

Thanks guys.  I am feeling much better than I thought I would.  The side effects of the pain med are far worse than the pain so I don't bother with them except at night.  They make me dizzy and very tired and I have discovered that frequent napping does not promote good fluid intake.  The only pain I have is at the incision sites and they feel similar to when I slice my finger w/ a knife and I have the feeling of sore abdominal muscles.  Oh, and a headache that ranges from slight and dull to not so slight by the end of the day.  I am thinking that might be caffiene so I know there will be an end to it soon.  It is relatively warm (31°) but there is a terrible wind.  I hope the wind dies down so I can go outside for a short walk around the block or even down to the end of the block and back later today.  I was able to consume 24 ounces of liquid during the first three hours of my day today so I think I will be okay on fluid intake if I can keep it up at a similar pace for the day.  I can't tell you how happy I am to be on the flip side of surgery!

I can only imagine your happiness to be on the flip side.  That is my short term goal :) to have the surgery, it just seems so long and it wont be real until it's done.
