I am 6 days post-op from Roux-en-y surgery. Before day 5, I was really sore but had energy. Yesterday and today I have zero energy, feel lethargic, still running a fever, and cold. I don't hardly have the energy to lift the glass to my mouth to drink. Am certainly not getting all of my protein and and try as I may am only getting between 20-30 ounces of liquids. Concerned that I might be dehydrated. Are these feelings normal at this point?
They weren't for me. I was told to call my surgeon if I had a fever - I really think you should call and let them know what's going on.
I hope you feel better soon!
Steph

Hi Kim,
Gosh, I hate to even suggest it, but you cant put this off. You have to seek your surgeons medical advise. I pray that it just your cold that came at a very very poor time. Do not be afraid!! I know this is very much a bummer for you to be dealing with. The chances are high, one mention of fever, you will have to go to ER. Time is definitely extremely important. I would hope that you could talk to someone on call to help you through this. Man, I just have no idea. Your instincts I pray will guide you. Take care and know this will all get better soon. Take Care and God Bless you with His healing and restore you. Pam
