I actually made it home yesterday evening. Surgery went well. Luckily the gas hasn't been too bad. I started burping in recovery which eased a lot of the gas. Nurse said I was lucky and that most people don't burp like that. . I started to sign release papers yesterday at 11am but got dizzy and light headed. Turns out my SATS had dropped to 86. So back in the bed I went with a little oxygen. By 6 I was much better and was released. I took a shower today which was heaven but so tiring.

How is everyone else?

WELCOME  HOME! So glad you are doing well and resting at  home! Congrats!!

Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up.
It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed.

It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve.
It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.

Welcome home....I made it home on weds night...They ended up keeping me longer because i almost passed out from the pain when they tried to get me up for a walk. My gas has been horrible. It finally started letting up today. The only problem i've had post surgery is one of my incisions is very tender and swollen..The rest dont hurt at all. How about you? Im so glad to be at home....Yippie we are on the loser side...WOOOO HOOOO...

Talk to you later,
Amy

I'm home too after a very successful VSG surgery. I'm feeling very well considering where I was five days ago...on the surgeon's table! I'm experiencing very little pain at this point...mostly just from tightness from the sutures...and my gas pains are subsiding...Here's to a 2009 full of losses:)
