Any 2/3 people back at work today?

So my first day back "at" work - and soooo glad I'm working from home the next 2 weeks.  I really don't think I'd have the energy to even get from the parking ramp to my cube - speak nothing of meetings and dealing with all the people.  Plus we're facing another round of lay-offs so I'm thrilled to not be in that emotional pressure cooker.

How are the rest of you doing?

I'm really struggling with the eating.  I've been hitting my 50-60g goal for protein (and getting in all the fluids) but I'm sick to DEATH of protein powder and Isopure.  I didn't have any Isopure today and less protein powder with the result that my calories are quite a bit higher than they've been (560) and my carbs jumped from about 35g to 93g.  Not good.

I'm kinda depressed about all of this and can't wait for soft foods and some variation...but I've got a full week left of the liquid diet.

What are you guys "eating"  during the full liquids phase?

well im glad your feeling tip top.

Personally, I am taking my full 6 weeks. b/c i am using fmla, i cant be fired for medical reasons...YAY! and i did sign up for short term disability when I first got hired with my company, so.....YAY! I still get a paycheck.  Its nice.

However, I am trying to clean up the house, because apparently I am the only one in my home that knows how to REALLY clean (dont get me wrong, my b/f tries....but.....no.) So I have been doing laundry, dishes, everything I can pretty much....  I did over do it a little....trying to slide an end table to another spot, i feel like I pulled something....dont worry!  I have stopped cleaning and started resting...the b/f went off on me...hes always so worried.  I guess it just shows he really knows me, b/c I cant stop moving...being down a week really annoyed me!

Hope all of you are well.

I wont be going back to wor****il either March 3rd or March 10th. I am a massage therapist so I will be doing a lot and until I am healed I sincerely don't want to be at work.I don't want to make matters worse before they are better.

I'm back to work today but I sit at a desk all day.  I'm just kinda not with it and tired.  Pushing some paperwork around and doing my payroll.

I am so struggling with the liquid diet and just ate some turkey and a piece of cheese.  I had no pain or anything.  I really never feel full or hungry.  How are you guys doing with the diet this week?  Does anyone not have to be a liquid diet?

Take Care

I totally understand the struggle but please be very careful - our pouches are still numb right now so we won't know if we over-stuff them at this phase (unless we get esophogeal back-uppain).

GOD GIVE ME SOME REAL FOOOOOOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!! Okay, now that I got that out of the way, I'm a stay-home mom, but yes, I am back to "work". Hubby is pretty useless around the house these days so unless I care to blend my shakes in a dirty cup, I'm doing the dishes. I'm with you though Steph, I'm beat. I'm going up to take a nap right now because although he's been slacking with the house, he has been helping me with the girls and he just took them ice skating--peace and quiet--ahhhh.

I get to start puree Thursday and I can't wait until I can have something with some flavor.

Hope everyone else is hanging in there.

Denise
