But other than that it's reg aches and pains and making sure I stay on top of walking resting and sipping. I do have oxygen and I have that everywhere I go but I am good and happy with my decision. Just waiting on my oxygen level to get back to normal.
Have a good one hope everyone else is doing good we are all on the losing bench together.

For my protein drinks I use 1% lowfat milk Whey Protein from GNC which has 21 grams protein for each scoop and Carnation instant breakfast which I believe has 5 pr 6 grams of protein.
I am also allowed cream soups (tomato Butternutsquash and there are a few others on the soup isle I got the organic ones)unsweetened apple sauce lowfat yogurt unsweetened jello unsweetened popsicles plenty of crystal light and also decaffenated tea with splenda.
This is what I am allowed for three weeks I am lucky to get the fluids down and one item as well for the day. Took me seven hours to eat a six ounce columbo light yogurt yesterday. Sounds crazy but true. I get severe pain run through my back to my neck if I put to much in at once and its not a nice feeling.
Keep up the great work!

so glad you posted this. I was sitting watching tv and Grey's Anatomy came on. Would you believe I actually had to turn it off, I couldn'****ch surgery. I keep thinking that'll be me on the table next week.
I can't even sleep now because I'm starting to get worried.
I'm starting to get really nervous and edgy all the time.
The wacky thing is I've already had the lap band, and I'm 90 pounds lighter than I was then (which means a lower percentage of danger). but still freaking out.
Any suggestions on something that could calm me down?
I know I really need this to live a "normal" life, but I'm starting to get really scared. All the doubts of the people who love me are really starting to scare me. I know they only say those things because the care, but what if it's true? "What if something really happens.
I'd love to hear from some of you whove had it done. Ones whose families were supportive but also scared.
Thanks guys, I really appreciate all your help.
In all honesty, my mom died in July and I was terrified of following her during surgery. It was absolutely tormenting me. But then I really just started praying and it gave me a tremendous amount of peace. I'm not really churchy or anything, but I do believe in God and I believe that when it is our time it is our time whether it is during gastric bypass or while we are driving to get eggs. I also believe that I will die a slow, miserable death in this fat suit and I am just at the point where I can't do it another minute. I also went to pure statistics. My surgeon's stats were amazing. I had to hold onto that and trust if God would bring me to it, he'd bring me through it.
I had scared and supportive people too. My best friend admitted to me that she was terrified, but thankfully she didn't show me that side until AFTER the surgery. It is only normal and I'd think it would be abnormal if there were no worries.
You're gonna do great!

I had surgery on Monday, and am feeling really good! I still have a hard time finding a comfortable sleeping position, and get really tired during the day, but each day gets a little bit better.
My doctor didn't give me a whole lot of instruction when I left the hospital, just to eat mushy or pureed foods and to stick to about 4 ounces per meal. I've done loads of research both on this website and many others, so I'm sort of creating my own plan.
Thanks so much for all the ideas everybody has shared in regards to getting protien in! I had completely forgotten how much protien Egg drop Soup has. I LOVE egg drop soup!
As far as nervousness before surgery goes, I didn't realize how scared I really was until AFTER I woke up post surgery. The first thought I had was "Oh, I HURT!", but the first thing I said out loud was "Am I awake? Cause that would mean I'm alive!". The nurses wouldn't let me live it down my whole stay! Lol!
Thanks for "listening"!

When I woke up I said, "I'm here." Then I said, "Was it lap?" because I was scared of going to open. It was quite a relief!
Thanks for sharing.
