Home from surgery - everything unbelievably good!
I'm back home after 2/3 surgery. It went very very well - minimal pain (even the dreaded gas pain was vanquished by walkies and Gas-ex).
I'm so grateful for all the suppport and care and *very* excited to be starting this new phase of my life.

LV'N MY RNY. WORKING FOR ME BECAUSE I WORK FOR IT.
Good Job Steph, You are on the other side. You dont know how much I appreciate your encouragement. I pray that your recovery is swift and better than you could have imagined. Steph, your testimony is what we all want that are coming in after you. I am 2/9 Lap RNY. Thank you for sharing. You get some rest and God bless you and yours. Pam (prdurham). I would love to hear how you are doing as you go.
I'm glad to know my post was helpful - I was a little concerned that it came across as smug but the intent really was to reassure the rest of the February Club :)
I know the rest of you will do well - you've all come a long way with this and are strong, capable people!
One thing that really helped me (and this again is offered humbly and not meant to be preachy) - before surgery a friend of mine advised that I start going over the what would happen on the days before during and after the surgery - basically visualizing positive outcomes. I think this, and prayer before and after the surgery, really helped reduce my stress which, in turn, was a contributing aspect of the happy results I'm enjoying. Everyone has to figure out their own spirtual path but I wanted to toss this out there as an option.
I'll be watching the rest of the February Club with bunch of interest - we're on a great adventure together!!
