Feb 10th?
Me, me, me! I'm here. The past two days have been exhausting with pre op stuff and then an endoscopy. I slept most of the afternoon yesterday. Woke up with a hangover type headache. Then I slept another 12 hours last night and finally feel alive again. Today I am hungry for some reason...ugh! Probably from all the fasting the past two days. I'm actually looking forward to my protein shakes!
How's it going for you? We have less than a week to go...eek!
Amanda
Doing really good. On day 5 of my liquid diet. I just scarffed down my 2 cups of veggies and broth. I think that one "meal" makes it possible to survive 10 days of protien shakes. I did my pre-op yesterday and all they did was a chest xray, ekg and non-fasting blood test. I did a cardiac stress test last week. It seems like it is going pretty fast. I just met the doctor less then 2 weeks ago. I am doing the sleeve.
How long do they expect to keep you in the hospital? Are you excited? Nervous?

I'm a little nervous and a lot excited. Getting through the past two days relieved alot of my anxiety . I have to drive an hour (in good traffic conditions) to get to the hospital. The past two days I had to be there super early so that put me in a bind with childcare. I managed to figure out how to get my kids to school Monday but they had to miss yesterday. We had to leave the house at 4:15am to make it to the hospital for a 5:30 check in for the endoscopy....oy vey! My poor husband hung out in the waiting room with a 4 & 6 year old. I prefer the endoscopy to that, lol.
Now that that is all done with I can concentrate on getting things ready for my mother-in-laws arrival Saturday. Usually a visit from here would be stressful but I'm trying to let go. I'm going to let her take over and for once in my life concentrate on me. She'll be taking care of the kids the one night I'm in the hospital. If all goes well it will only be the 1 night. I'm actually excited to be away from home for 1 night with husband with out the kids. Who knew all it took was surgery to finagle it?
Wow, that ended up being way more than I meant to type! How are you feeling...nervous....excited? How long is your expected hospital stay? Have you started shopping and/or packing yet?

hahaha when the doc said I would be in overnight, I was like "woohoo a night to myself"...I guess I am not going to like it that much. I hear sleeping is hard in the hospital and I am not going to be feeling super awesome. We are not telling many people. I havent even told my mom, she just worries too much and will make me anxious. So we are hiring a temp nanny to stay with the kids the day of, day after and help out until friday so I can take it easy. My kids are 2 and 3. I dont know if they will leave me alone. I am also only supose to have an overnight stay if all goes well...and all will go well...perfect in fact. I am trying not to be negitive. :D
I made a shopping list and a packing list but I dont think I will do anything until Monday. I just need to think of things to keep myself busy until the weekend. Then the weekend will fly by with hubby home, busy monday getting ready then Tuesday the big day.
How long is your MIL staying?
