Man I blew it already

I did my 3 shakes today and have been pretty darn hungry.  Its alot of psychological stuff and I think partly cause I started really watching my food intake a week ago so I am already kind of in that OMG I have to eat mode.  But I had not eaten t thing all day and I went in the kitchen to steam veggies for my one optional meal a day (I get 2 cups of steamed veggies or another shake) and I some how managed to stuff 2-3 ounces of 99% fat free turkey breast in my mouth before I escaped.  Like my body overpowering my brain?

I am bummed because I vowed not to cheat at all.  I am cheating my kids...I have to do everything in my power to make the operation as safe as possiable for them.

My husband, who is overall being supportive is just not understanding me at all today.  He was all annoyed I wouldnt go out to dinner with him and the kids!  Come on!  What would I eat?

Don't beat yourself up too much.  I'm in the 2-week pre-op diet and it's really hard.  At lleast what you had was protein and not total junk.

I think it's really hard for people who haven't gone through this to understand how we're feeling so keep coming here for support!!

It is great that you have the right mind set that by cheating you are only cheating yourself. Stay strong. You can do this. Prayers going your way.

You stopped yourself and you're keeping it together, that's what counts.

Imagine if you had given up and gone out to dinner. You could have let one mistake become an all out tragedy.  You did not let that happen.
You knew dinner would be tough and unecessarily stressfull.   You kept away from temptation and got back on track.  You are doing fine at recovering from your mistake.

Only those who've been there will really understand.  As long as hubby accepts that you've got to do it your way he does not need to get it.

So you're not perfect.  If you want to know what blowing it is read my next post!

Don't feel bad. I have cheated like that already too. Each day just start over and give it your best. We can do this. Only 11 more days to go for me. PM me if you need help.
