I just found out that my youngest sister was going to come over and stay here with me to help me out with my children through my recovery. Now I just got done talking to her, and she said she may not be here now because she is planning on getting a job! WTF am I going to do? My husband works 10 hours a day and is on the road for 2 hours!!! I am glad I picked up the phone to call her, when was she going to tell me? AHHHHHH

Now I have no physical help. My mother said she can be here for 2 days, but that won't help more than 2 days.

Thanks for letting me vent.

How old are your children? Are you friendly with any of your neighbors? Maybe they could stop in a few times a day to check on you and the kids. Get stuff that will be easy to make. Like in the microwave for their lunches and snacks. Prepare as much as you can ahead of time. I will be praying for your situation. I am sure it will all work out for you.

Thank you, I have a 3 year old and soon to be 11 month old who is like a future linebacker! He is HUGE! I am worried that I will not be be able to lift him.

Oh, you won't be able to lift him. Too bad the older one isn't old enough to help you out. Maybe you could check with your church ( if you go) and have some ladies help you out. I have had church family help me when I had back surgery. Are you a part of any civic group that could help you.....just some suggestions. If I lived by you I would help you.

I really worried about this issue.  We decited, instead of relying on a friend (family is very far away) that we would hire a nanny.  So we contacted an agency and they sent over a very nice lady.  She will watch the kids the day of the surgery and the day after (when my husband will be picking me up) and then stay for the following 2 days because my husband will be working.  Then I will have hubby for the weekend and the doc said by a week I should be able to keep up with them fine.  He said i could carry my daughter a day or two after I have the surgery (she is 23 lbs) and then my son (35 lbs) a few days later.  And then after a week I can start addiing weight.  If you can afford it, you might want to look into it.  It is such a weight off my mind that we have help!  And I will have friends stop in to check and make sure all is well.
