Waiting for my date!
Call your insurance company and see if they have submitted the paperwork for approval. I once caught the fact that my paperwork was still laying around this way.
The office had a firm don't call us we'll call you policy on insurance approvals. By calling the insurer directly and confirming they had nothing, I could:
-- go back and call the doctors office to go over my file and make sure they had everything,
-- then ask what date it would be submitted to the insurer.
Once I made that call, my procedure was approved within 24 hours by both the hospitalization and the medical insurance companies. The insurance companies not the doctor's office notified me that I was good to go.
Hope this helps.

LV'N MY RNY. WORKING FOR ME BECAUSE I WORK FOR IT.
I know how you feel. I am not waiting on insurance though. I am waiting for my last weigh in with the surgeon. It is on Feb 4th. He will draw labs that day and once they get them back I will get a date. I am hoping for Feb but was told it could be early march. I am sick of waiting. I had to do a 30 day diet after I saw the nut and surgeon and that is what I am currently doing. It has gone by fast some days and SSSSLLLLOOOOWWW on others. I am so ready.
