Glad you're more positive today.
You are absolutely ready for this. You're just experiencing what all dieters do. If we could diet alone and stick with it we would not need WLS as a tool.
My pre op diet is much more generous than yours and I am sometimes hungry and get a little gas and hate the feel of all that liquid swishing around in there and skipped one of my feedings twice. I've missed in some way three out of three days although thankfully, only one was cheating (tiny bit but no excuse). I'll do better today to follow orders to the letter.
Forgive yourself the small protein serving and recognize that by itself this has not blown it for good. Do your best and call your nutritionist for help on whats most satisfying. You can't be the only one who ever struggled.

LV'N MY RNY. WORKING FOR ME BECAUSE I WORK FOR IT.
Hi Feb 18th is my date for RNY and I am on week #2 of 5 shakes a day and nothing else. I was told if you REALLY need something cook an egg white or 2 up and eat it. OR if it is just the chewing get some sugarless gum. I have done really well and my Nut was very impressed with my progress. I lost a lil over 10lbs the first week. You can do it. I have to be on it for 4 weeks!!!!!
