Liquid Diet
Well, I went for my preop visit today. Saw the surgeon, the dietician and the anesthesiologist. When the surgeon saw me, she noted how much weight I'd gained since she last saw me on 10/30 and told me to start pre-op liquids tomorrow---don't wait for Sunday! She was kind about it, however, because she didn't want me leaving the hospital today feeling bad about myself. She told me to keep my spirits up and she's sure this surgery will be much more successful.

I'm starting my third day on liquids and am doing just fine! Since DH can't seem to refrain from eating snacks in the bedroom, I just stay in my craft room until he's finished. He's a little incapacitated with a sore knee which needs replacing, so I have to go get the snacks for him (microwave popcorn, candy, ice cream). I just breathe through my mouth so I don't smell it! I'm okay, though---I had to put up with his cigarette smoke 12 1/2 years ago when I quit, but I never backslid once!
